Wouldn't UConn have to also beat Pitt?
UConn and Pitt still play each other one more time this year. And Louisville has to go to West VA on the last day of the season for Game Day. I'm really starting to like the way this is looking. Its going to be a very exciting next 2 weeks.
So if we beat UConn, UL, Pitt, and Syracuse not only are we BE Champs, but ranked #1, and in line for a 1 seed in the tourney?
Can we put up a banner and tell Too Tan Tommy to kiss it where the sun don't shine? Or is he somehow going to claim credit while entertaining McCarthy, LaRousa, Maddox, Sheets, et al?
UConn and Pitt look beatable. Louisville is playing some good basketball and they have tough matchups for us. It's ours for the taking though, only thing we can do is go out there and win some games.

4ever, if we win conference, do you want to go halfies on a Big East Champions Banner and send it to TC?
Pitt will not want to lose two games in a week. We need to focus on UConn.

I like banners, I'm in. I don't see the problem in remembering accomplishments. If it's good enough for North Carolina, it's good enough for me.
I wanted to send TC a "2008 Maui Invitational 7th Place" banner but time got away from me. Damn Holidays.

Serious question, does UNC have banners for pre-season tourneys? Such CBE or GAS? Those are the ones that rile me up.
Actually, if I was AD I would fix a few things...
1974 banner should say Runner-Up and Warriors.
2003 CUSA Banner should either come down and be combined with 1994 & 1997 Banner or they each should get one. Perhaps a smaller one for conference.
And 1994 and 2003 should be more promient than 1997 which was conf tourney.
I would take down the 1952 Catholic Championship one. I believe we were under .500 going into that tourney. Its my understanding there's not a lot of prestige to that event, I could be wrong.
And of course I would toss the CBE banner that lists #8 Duke on it...We're not VMI.
I guess it depends on what you value. I value team accomplishments. UNC has banners for a ton of individual players, they've had many great ones obviously. (43 player banners are hung) I don't care for those as much, but when you walk in it's overwhelming the history.
I always felt that MU's lack of banners hurt them. The one championship banner made it look like MU was a one trick pony compared to some other schools with all their banners.
