For what it's worth MU still has some of the most affordable tickets in both conference and the region. Probably best over all for affordability/game quality.
Big East
1. Louisville $220^
2. Syracuse $160
3. Georgetown $125
T-4. Providence $99
T-4. St. Johns $99
6. Pittsburgh $5 per home game, $95 if you attend all 19 home games
7. Seton Hall $90
8. Marquette $85
9. Notre Dame $80
10. Rutgers $50
11. Conneticut $49
T-12. Cincinnati FREE*
T-12. DePaul FREE*
T-12. South Florida FREE*
T-12. Villanova FREE*
T-12. West Virginia FREE*
*Free = You pay something in your student activity (or equivalent) fee and you get to go to games.
Also:
Big 10
1. Indiana $220
2. Wisconsin $180
3. Purdue $170
4. Michigan State $168
5. Illinois $133
6. Ohio State $121
T-7. Michigan $99
T-7. Minnesota $99
9. Iowa $80
10. Penn State $59

Imagine paying $220 to watch this seasons' It's Indiana team. Right now they are paying $55 per win. As for Wisconsin I think each student should pay in a pint of blood to feed Bo the Vampire.

Gee, $133 to watch last night's Illini-Penn State thriller. That's like $1.86 a point. What a bargain.

DePaul's tickets are overpriced
It is a $60 round trip cab ride out to Allstate Arena from DePaul's campus :p
Cut the student section by 1500-2000 seats and raise the price.
price will be 100 bucks next year if i remember correctly. When I first got here it was only 55 bucks. Then 70 last year and 85 this year. I believe it is going to be locked in at 100 for a while. (not sure exactly how long a while is but it won't go up the next year)
Yeah, 40 bucks in 97/98', I can remember that much.....but that was when MU was running the double screen for Wardle every time down.
I know from experience that the Purdue price isn't quite accurate. Most students have the option of purchasing VIP passes, which is tickets for all sports (football, m/w basketball, etc) for $210. In fact this year all of the students who have basketball tix purchased the VIP tix since student bball tix were sold out in July and are only made available that early for VIP holders.
Glad to see MU has reasonable ticket prices. When I was at MU, they were $55 my first year.

With the occasional back door alley-oop for Bargen.
I do miss Bargen
Obviously.

so i get to go to 5 (approximately) home football games, and about 18 men's games + anything else i want to for $210? thats still a bargain. if MU had football and had a deal like Purdue does, i would die a happy man

even after a final 4, it was about the same in 03/04 surprisingly - maybe 45 or 50.
Have to remember that some of those prices are also just games while kids are in school. I know Notre Dame is that way.

This quote probably works in black font too, since most of the students only go to the Marquette game anyways.
