Title: Wasn't it Huggins who was...
Post by: denverMU on February 14, 2009, 12:06:57 AM
complaining that Buzz had our starters in the game too long and DJ was taking a 3 pt. shot late as the shot clock was winding down when we kicked there ass at the BC?  As I watched WVU beating VU by 17 pts. and 2:00 minutes left to go I saw Butler let go with a 3 pter. and everyone celebrate.  I thought Huggins said that was a no no.  He kept the starters in until there was 31 sec left.  Good old Huggins doesn't mind when the shoe is on the other foot.

DJ's three was with about 20 seconds left, though.

Take it in boys.  The smell of chestnuts couches roasting on an open fire in Morgantown is strong tonight.

For as lopsided as that game was it seemed like west Virginia was whistled for about 100 fouls, just glad they shot well enough to compensate.

Apparently what goes around comes around for 'Nova.  Can't shoot 70%+ every game.

Thought the exact same thing last night about Huggy leaving in the starters.  It was a nice gesture that he pulled Butler with 30 secs left so he could get a standing ovation.

BTW... the 3 with 20 seconds left in the game came as the shot clock was about it expire and it was from one of our worst 3 point shooters.

Huggins is a douchenozzle, after watching WVU dominate I figured he'd run up the score.

It's nice of Huggins to wear a suit in morgantown when he is on ESPN and all he can muster to put on for the MU game is a windbreaker!  He is a classy fellow.  I know it's small and petty, but...
