Title: Just back from NOVA and
Post by: Marquette65 on February 11, 2009, 03:03:16 PM
we were Out executed-OUT shot-OUT desired-OUT intensity and maybe OUT coached.

Lazar H the best payer on the floor for MU

Jerel tooo many shots ( some bad) seems to be more intere4sted in playing for his NBA contract than for the team

James--it is truly amazing how is offensive game had deterrated- No confidence in shot at all--release point different on each shot- shoulders not square to rim etc.  His defense was truly awful--very bad body language not interested at all.  He left Reynolds open all night.

NOVA shot 72% in second half.  NOVA, all night, had not trouble in getting the ball any where they wanted and their guards got into the lane w/ no trouble at all.

How bad is OTULE? that he does not play at all.  Had to believe that he is worse than Burke who had 3 fouls w/ 7:35 to play in the first half.  Burke had not idea, other than foul, what to do w/ Cunning ham.  Cunningham got the ball where ever he wanted and got to his point on the floor w/o any problem.

Wife asked my what could MU do?  My reply was to turn the game into a half court affair.  We were crazy to try to out score NOVA  we don't have the talent to do so.

Mr. Hayward now has competition for the most typographical errors in a single post.  My congratulations to you, as that was once considered an untouchable record.

Typos or no typos, I do agree that trying to outgun them was a big mistake.  I think quite a few posters have said this and it is correct.  Had we slowed down the game more, our half-court offense was efficient enough that we would have kept it close... the way we shot we probably still have lost, but at least we would have had a shot in the end.
