Suspended his best player. (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3893461)
I'm not surprised Bo Ryan didn't enforce any disciplinary action when Joe Krabbenhoft absolutely leveled a Purdue player by throwing an arm and elbow into his face on a screen. (http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/38582637.html)
I think if Krabbenhoft had done that more recently, the Big 10 might have made up Ryan's mind for him.
I know some can't stand the guy, but Crean made the right call here.
Krabbenhoft's forearm was one of the worst no-calls I've seen in quite sometime.

By not saying anything on the subject, Bo basically is condoning the action. I know he's desperate for a win, but you have to be able to draw the line at some point - especially when you're the coach.
It was the right thing to do, and the fact that it occurred against Tom Izzo played a role too, considering TC's friendship with him.
Crean has nothing to lose
respectfully disagree; Crean's hand was forced- the big ten commish issued a statement saying 'indefinite' suspension, but worse- Dumes took 2 swings at Northwestern player when both going for a loose ball- I saw it live w/o benefit of iso cameras. He has been a 'flagrant thug' for some time, and Crean condoned as much as Dumes could get away with! This kid is a bad actor and should have been dumped weeks ago!
Throwing plants, now this.

This squad has some real anger management issues.
