I agree in banning further discussion of this game. We played awful. We lost. It's over. Like Buzz, I mourned til midnight, slept on it, and left it in the past.
Bring on Villanova.
I'm with you. OK, we lost a game we should've won. Now let's go win a couple games that we are supposed to lose. My long term hope is to get a 2 or 3 seed in the dance. We can still do that. The way I look at it, a 2 or 3 gets some teams that they should beat until the sweet 16, then if you are a 2, you likely play a 3 and vice versa. A winnable game. A 4 seed, then you are stuck with playing a 1, tough task. You still have to ultimately play a 1 or someone that beat a 1 but at least it is late. Let's just win some that we are not supposed to.

No better way to deal with the loss, than that. No better time to start, than Tuesday against the teasm that is your likely next closest competitor for a spot in the top 4. Still, I'm pulling for Syracuse today.

I'm with you, sir ;). I can already smell burnt butt-cheeks (I'm a nursing student, I've smelt some interesting aromas) in Humphrey Hall due to this game, and I think we'll take it strong to Villanova and for the remainder of the season.
LET'S GO, MARQUETTE!
Just like a colonoscopy - get heavily medicated and take it like a man.
Bottom line, if anyone told you at the beginning of the season that we would be 9-1 at this point, I don't think anyone would be too hung up on who exactly we got that one loss from.

That's all fine and good, and I agree, but the fact is things have changed since the season started, as have the stakes. This team has demonstrated that they are better than people expected them to be. They put themselves in a position half way through the year to contend certainly for a top 4 finish and perhaps even a BE title, excellent seed in the NCAA, etc. Everyone is also aware of what looms to finish out the season. They needed that one last night and didn't get it, so they'll just have to make it up somewhere else.

Ever slightly woken up during one of those? Uncomfortable.
My ex-wife made me walk 1 1/2 miles home from a colonoscopy because we lived in Queens, New York, at the time and she didn't want to give up her parking space. True.
That is brutal!! The thought of your post-snake trek thru NYC has erased the pain of last night's game.

Were the cabbies on strike?

How lazy are you? I get a colonoscopy isn't the most pleasant thing in the world to do, but seriously? 1.5 miles? That's nothing. I would have made you walk too.
I've walked MUCH farther than that on a bad day myself

Hmm, I wonder why y'all aren't married anymore.
Let me tell you a story about Bridges....
I was afraid to get in a cab or on the subway because of the cramps I felt. So I walked. I know a mile and a half isn't much, but it's not fun when you're doubled over. That wasn't the reason we divorced; it had more to do with a steak knife.

Was there a rabbit boiling in a pot of water? ::) Fatal Attraction reference.......
Back to the I'm over it portion of this thread...
I would like to give a shout out to AROD and his needles, since I no longer see stories about Marquette losing on Espn, ESPNnews, or the stupid Lead ticker.
Bring on Nova.

Well aren't you a hero?
The guy told a story that was pretty funny. Not necessary for you to show how tough you are. I hope you forgot the teal.

Dude - you should get insurance - they give you drugs that are so good that you cannot do a thing for 10-12 hours.
Only thing that bothers me about the loss is that REALLY good teams NEVER lose to a lesser team. On the flip side, a team that can be REALLY good gains from a loss sometimes. Monkey and spotlight off their backs for a couple of weeks.
I would much rather lose to USF than a good team. Everyone knows it was a fluke. If we lose to a ranked team, everyone will say "i told you so". I also think the loss comes at a good time as our boy Buzz was getting a little cocky. He needs some bumps.
Also, the board was getting a little boring with so many wins.
