It's starting to look like Marquette will never lose again. Ever.
I know this is looking ahead, but if we take care of the next two games and then win @Nova, we should be favored in every game until the final four games of UCONN, @Louisville, @Pitt, and Syracuse.
And if we do that, I bet we are favored against Uconn at home as well as Syracuse.
Pitt plays Robert Morris and DePaul next week. Is that maybe the easiest mid-season week a team in the Big East can ever have?

So.....3 games? Two of which are against Seton Hall and St. John's at home? I'd hope we'd be favored in those games regardless of what we do over the next three games.
We need to beat DePaul on Tuesday. Focus. Focus.
Let's beat DePaul! Go Buzz! Go Marquette!!
Anyone else notice Dayton at 24. That loss is starting to look a little better on the resume.

Easier than 6 days off and DePaul?
Dayton is a very deep team, and they should be an interesting team tournament time assuming they make it. The Tennessee loss was a bad one no doubt considering how weak the SEC is this year and that they have lost a fair amount of games in conference. Let's remember though that your regular season resume is thrown out at the beginning of March Madness, just like the super bowl. Arizona making the super bowl...
My local newspaper writer just posted his AP Top 25 list:
http://blogs.mercurynews.com/collegesports/2009/02/01/my-ap-top-25-basketball-poll-uconn-on-top-followed-by-duke-and-the-ville/
MU is #5
Making the Big East with 3 of the top 5 positions in his poll.
Where are those ACC backers and BE haters now?!?

I like the way this particular voter thinks, but I think that he's more BEast friendly than the general AP poll will be. I hope that the rest of the AP voters go this route, but I doubt it.
I think Marquette will still be No. 8 in the AP --
maybe No. 7. -- but I cannot imagine they'll move up to No. 5. I'd love to be proven wrong on this one. I think they will get more points, though, because they are getting great press this week and that should translate into some extra votes.
While we may have won some voters over with our win over Georgetown, 7 or 8 sounds about right. Now let's forget about where we're ranked and beat DePaul. No letdown.
I don't care where we are ranked. Let's just get into the Big Dance and win six in a row.
