Blount indicted on drug charges
HAMILTON, Ohio -- Former NBA player Corie Blount has been indicted on charges of selling marijuana.
The 40-year-old former University of Cincinnati star was arrested in December. Sheriff's deputies say they watched him pick up a package they knew contained 11 pounds of marijuana and that they found another 18 pounds of marijuana at his home.
A Butler County grand jury indicted Blount on Wednesday on two counts of possession and two counts of trafficking.
Blount is free on $10,090 bond. He does not have a listed phone number, and the indictment did not say whether he has an attorney.
Blount was a first-round draft pick by the Chicago Bulls in 1993. In an 11-year NBA career, he also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors.
Stunning.
I know, I can't believe he hadn't gotten busted waaaay prior to now.
