i disliked the guy but thought he got a worse wrap than other clowns because he was so good. seeing the first 10 minutes, I can verify that i HATE this yahoo. he cries like a little girl
No doubt he's a great player, but he complains after every play. Worse yet, the announcers talk about it. "Harangody really thought he was fouled there."
Every player thinks he's fouled every play. What's makes Shreks complaints so note worthy (other than them being non-stop)?
Plus he's a black hole on offense. Sure he's a great scorer, but he NEVER looks to pass.
He just looks like such a "drip" for lack of better words. His style of play, be it effective, is so nonathletic and ugly that you'd think he'd be somewhat humble. That stat that got my attention most was his drastic increase in shots attempted the last three games, and they've played poorly over that span. I'm not sure I've ever seen a player with his hands in the air so much during a game in which they hadn't held a lead for the vast majority of the first half. Live it up...he won't be so hot next year.
He's a rich man's Jerrod Lovette (and Lovette was a very good player), with a far less likeable demeanor.
that face up fade away is absurd. i cant believe he hits it. that shot reminds me of some of jerel's, where you wonder 'are you serious' but you cant complain about it if it goes in
Harangody is the ugliest, whiniest little b**ch in all of D1 basketball. And I agree on that fade away, how in the heck does that crap fall.

It didn't at the end of the game ;D Funny how he had his arms waving in the air all game long, and all of a sudden there's five minutes left and he does NOTHING! To be honest, I thought his demeanor after the game was interesting. The loss didn't seem to upset him too much...might be happy as long as he gets his points. Buzz made the adjustment at half, and he struggled in the second half to get anything in the paint with players like Hayward and Mathews guarding him.
Shrek is a great college player. I dislike him very much b/c of all the attention he brings to himself and his constant complaining about calls. But, the guy plays hard game in and game out. ND is a one man team, he gets very little help from his teammates and yet he gets high double-doubles every game.

"One-man team" might be a tad harsh of an assessment for ND. McAlarney is one of the better shooters in the country and does averge 16.6 per game, after all. Jackson is a solid point guard. To MU's credit, their defense made Notre Dame a one-man team tonight.
He has a lot of talent to get the ball in the hoop, and lots of ways to do it. If we had a guy like that for a C we'd be undefeated, and a definitive national contender.
But he does get away with a lot of fouls - I was shocked he got 4 called on him tonight. His complaining all the time works for him - lol - he fouls a ton (over the back, slapping the ball, shoulders on offense).
But he is good....but I don't like em !
How did that a-hole get away with the foul on Dom on the final layup? Then after knocking him to the floor he sees DJ in pain, steps over him and walks away? Classless jerk. I hope Pitt beats them by 80 on Saturday.
Did Mrs. Mac make an appearance tonight?
"Gody" is a great player but a real jackass. Bill Lambeer if you ask me.

Considering my eyes haven't been burned out, I'm assuming no.
I read it thinking you meant Mrs. Harangody, my mistake.
I don't think the play itself was any sort of malice intent. But, stepping over him and walking away with that look on his face was pretty classless.
Remember Bobby knight's piece on Espn last weekend about the no-call on traveling these days. watch harangody lean in, shuffle his feet, lower his shoulder, hop, then shoot. He's a freakin' bull in there and he gets away with it. But, he fills it up.
Whether you like him personally or not he is a great player. He did not get a shot in the last three minutes, but that was more a reflection on his teammates then it is on him.

fact. i thought hansbrough was the most awkward great player ive seen in some time, but haranscrody definitely tops that. he does thing that make you wonder sometimes- simple, yet still spectacular
