There have been a post or two that the game on Monday will not enhance MU if we win. I disagree.
While ND has been overrated, they are a top 30 Team. This will be the first of several huge tests for the Warriors, and I am getting fired up for the game. Beating ND on their home floor would definitely tell all about the Warriors. The fact is that they had won 45 straight, including about 10 this year, on their home floor. The team that broke the streak is one of the 5 best teams in the country, and was #1 for a while--and just might be #1 in a couple weeks. Just because ND has lost 4 straight doesn't mean they are not a quality team Look at the quality of the teams that beat them. The BEast is a ball buster conference this year.
Wow! I never thought I would defend ND--I hate them and their arrogance. We absolutely need to kick their butt on Monday. And if the victory margin is 1 point or 5 points or 10 points, I will still consider that a butt whipping.
It looks to me that we can let Harandonkey get his 25, but we must blanket McCorney and Jackson. We also need to control the defensive boards--don't let Harandonkey and his cohorts get easy putbacks.
I believe that the three keys will be:
~~ Control Mccorny
~~Control the defensive glass
~~Less than 12 TO's
James, McNeal and Mathews will need to play super D with help on Harandonkey; Burke/Hazel need to muscle him as much as possible.
Hopefully we can come away with a win.
