Didn't I read this week about Bill Self saying "nice game" to a recruit and how that might have been a violation during the no contact period?  If that's the case, how could we possibly have a recruit on a campus visit?  Someone who knows more about this please explain.

Per the scout board he was not there tonight due to the fact that we have to leave tomorrow for ND. Rumor has it he will be here for either the GT game or the St. Johns game.

Dodds said he was there.  But then again he also said Wisconsin would win the Big Ten at 15-3 and Crean could do no wrong.  And you can have all that information and more for the right price!!    :o

Rosiak said:

-- It appears as though MU will host highly regarded recruit DaShonte Riley for a visit next weekend.

Riley had been expected to visit this weekend, but since MU left following the DePaul game Saturday night for Notre Dame, the visit would have been rushed and is therefore expected to be re-scheduled.

Retired weatherman Paul Joseph...er, Dodds, thinks UW will win the Big 10/11?! Really? With delusions like that I hope he's not allowed to operate a motor vehicle...

FYI regarding recruiting....right now its an evaluation period, but...I think that's for juniors only. I don't know. But I do know Buzz can talk to him and his family on campus...

Clarification No. 2: Per the NCAA: "A contact occurs any time a coach has any face-to-face
contact with you or your parents off the college's campus and says more than hello. A contact also occurs if a coach has any contact with you or your parents at your high school or any location where you are competing or practicing."  Maybe I'm wrong. I have been before.

I read on that board that he has a game on the night of the Gtown game, so he would prolly come for St. Johns.  Also bma said he wasn't there, and when it comes to recruiting, I take his word above anyone elses.

Thanks.  I think that clears it up.  On campus contact is OK.

Regarding Mr. Hayward's comment about getting info for the right price at Dodds' site, Dodds has quite the nerve charging for that alleged inside info. IWB works for the Bubbler now, so he doesn't post whatever he knows on the premium board anymore. Dodds doesn't post any scoops there either, which leaves Mark Miller as the only real insider -- and technically he's not even affiliated with Dodds' site.  So, basically those subscribers are paying for the privilege of being able to post info to themselves. Nice little scam Dodds has going there.

Would love to pick up Riley, but what is the most likely situation we get him? I think we are most likely looking at someone having to transfer, but who? Or does Buzz suggest to someone to move on? I know he is said to be very honest with his players.

I just have a hard time understanding what we can tell Riley at this point? You can have a scholarship as long as someone transfers? Would probably be tough as a recruit to hear that or not feel anxiety about the situation (although he does not need to actually decide until spring).

It's only a guess on my part but I can see Fulce not returning due to his injury or even Cubes deciding he doesn't want to sit on the bench again next year.

People pay for access to the national scout premium articles, and on some days the added bonus of having a board where you don't have to deal with Murff.
