From the Marquette Insider email preview of the MU-DePaul game. Bold added by me.
"Get on your boots and walk on over to the Bradley Center, because Saturday will be a beautiful day when MU faces DePaul at 1 p.m.
Marquette has been playing with great desire this season--a 16-2 start without even one BIG EAST loss--winning games in mysterious ways. DePaul, meanwhile, has been running to stand still, and still haven't found what they're looking for--their first win in a conference that can be so cruel.
Expect the Blue Demons to play with pride, but the instant karma brought by Buzz Williams will continue to have the Golden Eagles showing unforgettable fire.
All because of you, the Bradley Center will be a city of blinding lights on Saturday afternoon, as Marquette looks to move one step closer to a conference championship... and that would be the sweetest thing."
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we will not hear Fatboy Slim on Saturday.

Easily one of the top 3 SNL digital shorts of all time! lol
As much as I like "Streets", never change anything when you're on a winning streak. Anything. Ever.

I'm not worried. I can't wait to see what the BC is like when they bring it back.

Plus if there is a time to switch it up and not worry about jinxing everything, DePaul would be it.
TT,
you always have some insider information, what do you know!

If we're reading too much into things they they need to fire the copy editor that allowed that text to go to publication. Nobody speaks like that.
"the Bradley Center will be a city of blinding lights on Saturday afternoon," -- wtf does that even mean if they're not referring to U2? :p

Maybe so, but I still wouldn't risk the baby blue unis.

Clearly will be Linkin Park!
But yeah, I was willing to chalk it up to a coincidence up until "winning games in mysterious ways" and "Depaul [...] has been running to stand still". Not exactly a turn of phrase there.

"YOU ARE READING TOO MUCH INTO THINGS. FATBOY SLIM IS STILL OUR INTRO MUSIC AND ALWAYS WILL BE."
it's not getting changed. TT can verify this as well as we spoke to those who control this the other day.
For those of us who haven't made a home game yet this year, can someone post a video of the current intro?

I still think its gonna happen, way too many u2 references... if this is a big tease I'm not gonna be happy.

This is this year's intro.
And I agree with MUFan12, way too much time was put into writing this for them NOT to do this. It's too obvious.

I would say losing to depaul would make me unhappy,
a damn intro song? life will go on after the 1 minute of intros!
Actually, this might as well be the video of the current intro

I'm not going to get my hopes up, but this would be a great time to bring it back.
Personally I hate the Fatboy Slim intro...thank god...bring back Streets have no name!!
Well, ugly W today, but 6-0 in the BE. AND Streets returns. ;D
So was having Streets back a really big deal???????
I didn't notice any difference in the upper levels.

There was definitely a buzz in the lower level. I heard one kid scream "FINALLY!" when it came on. I feel like, at the very least, the crowd knows how to react to Streets vs. Fatboy. Everyone just kind of sits on their hands during Fatboy. The "We Are Marquette" chant was the loudest it's been since last year, I think.
Happy to have it back, but the crowd response was almost identical. I guess that says keep the "streets" as it makes more people happy, but to pretend that there was a palpable difference in the crowd isn't accurate.
Wow, totally disagree. I thought the crowd response was noticeably more enthusiastic during Streets.
The WE ARE .. MARQUETTE chant was 10x what it was for any of the prior games this year .. began far earlier, far louder, went on longer. There were a few games the chant didn't even start!
Pretend? Hogwash.
There was also an additional 5,000 fans in stands. Not to mention the additional students who weren't at any of the previous Big East games this season.
I like the "streets" intro better, but this is blown out of proportion. There wasn't nearly as much energy as many games from past seasons (I wish I knew why this was the case, as this team has been delightful).
Streets is better but about a 3 on 100 point scale of importance.
When it played today, I asked the guys around me if it had been the first time all season it played. They seemed to think it had been around all year. Thanks for confirming that it hadn't. It was great to hear it return!
I still don't understand why they're not using the Pray video, and then playing whatever music underneath the actual introductions.
