We should all chip in and get these folks to see James.
that sucks. I'd definitely sponsor a couple of tickets.
We can do this. We need 30 people to buy 1 ticket each or 15 buy 2, I'm sure you see where I'm going. It may be too late though, someone should call the woman in the article. I'm sure my wife (the MU grad) and I would sponsor a few tickets.
put me down for one.
I am in for one.
We should definately get the ball rolling on this, the game is less than 2 weeks away.
I am in for one .. -- Somebody call her up and find out if this can be uncancelled .. and if we fill out the bus, can she unload the tickets (free).
Once we know this info.. I can post it on CS, and I'll bet we can make this happen.
I'm calling now. Will update this post once I have more info.

Update -- I just talked to Debbie. Unfortunately they are well on their way to canceling -- and she didn't think it could be turned back on this quickly. Only 19 people had signed up for the trip (which was $65/person including the game ticket and bus ride). Apparently the Tuesday night game, coupled with the fact that the bus would get back at about 5am were also a factor.
The original 19 are already expecting refund checks.
So...I wasn't able to "sell" her into getting the trip re-organized. If anybody thinks they could convince her, or even help her out with organizing it (especially if you're in Richmond)....give her a call.
She was very appreciative of the offer - for sure.
Just wanted to add - I'm sure we could still get this going, but the key is we probably need somebody to get it organized (I don't have time unfortunately). But if we can get $3250 together and offer 54 (the total number of tickets) free passes to go to the game - I'm sure there would be takers.
Anybody up for the challenge?
I'll pitch in for a couple tickets.
I think it's the least we can do after all that Dominic has done for the program.
Count me in.
Count me in for 2
Guys, instead of rushing to get this done...why not work to get them up here for one of the remaining weekend games? Making a trip like this is easier if it is on the weekend.
vs. Georgetown (1-31)
vs. St Johns (2-14)
vs. Syracuse (3-7)
How cool would it be to have bus loads of people from Richmond show up for senior day??
Plus, it would give the site more time to raise money.
I'll sponsor a ticket.
Only problem is finding seats for Cuse... that's already a tough ticket as is.
I'm in for two.

Make sure you read Rocky's note above .. he edited his post, so some people might miss it.
Wow .. that 5am return time is a ball-buster. -- They should aim for a MU game at MU on a weekend.
Thats to bad. I went to Richmond High School and my parents were actually members of Red Devil Pride(the booster club) before we moved. Debbie the person mentioned int he article is one of my good friends mothers. You guys should see how Richmond embraces Dominic. Richmond a town that in many facets has seen better days loves watching Dominic do so well. When I was still in high school many times Marquette games would get bigger write ups than our high school team. I'm sad to hear that the trip had to get called off.
Someone call the lady back and find out if she could organize a bus or two for the Senior day game against Syracuse. Then, someone call MU and explain the situation and see if they can help out in someway. Dominic deserves this(for his hometown fans to see him in his last home game of his career).
Some of us must have extra Syracuse tickets they could part with.
In fact, I have 2 that I'd donate for this. It's worth it.
What about St. John's?
I know about Cuse, and it being the last game for the 3, but there's no chance we're gonna get a group of 55 tickets from MU for this game, unless they're holding a good number back.
There are still tickets left for St. John's, it's a Saturday, and we might have a better chance with that one.

I would agree...this seems the most feasible.
I'm in.
If someone can make one of the dates work, I would contribute for, at least, one ticket. Keep me posted.
Good luck!
I'll sponser 4 $9.00 tickets or 2 $15.00....ahhhh heck..just put me down for 4 tickets.
put me down for 4 tickets and $50.00 towards the bus.
A great idea.....BUMP! :)
Sorry so late. I'm in for 4.

I really wanted to make this happen, but I'm not sure everyone that posted understand that in order to get the trip together, we'd need to come up with
$65 per person for
50 people in order to cover the tickets and transportation costs. All together, that's
$3250 !
I've added a poll to the top of the thread to see how many $65 packages we can come up with.
Please Vote - if the number is high enough, then we'll move forward on Monday. If instead you just have a $ amount you're willing to donate, I'll add some options for that too.
Just thinking out loud here, but is the St. John's game even realistic?
The game is at 8pm...they'd be driving all night to get back to Richmond. It's a Saturday night game, I understand, but still. Would work a lot better if it were an early afternoon game.
Regardless, I could probably swing the cost for two.
I guess I should clarify - I'm only talking about getting them to the @ DePaul game. They already have the tickets for it, and would just need to turn on the charter bus.
To switch to a different game would require someone else to organize everything. Yes the St Johns game may be a little bit better logistically - but they selected the Feb 3 @ DePaul game originally, so that's what I'm going with.
Ahhhh, got it, didn't realize that.
