Assume it's for as long as they're in college. So you'd get Hansbrough for one year, Curry for two unless he leaves, etc.
I think I'd take Greg Monroe. I am very impressed by him. I think he would obviously be a huge help for us this year and an All-American if we could get him to stick around after this year.
Blake Griffin-We would win the NC this year
Blake Griffin or Tyler Hansborough, I'd be fine with either of the two. Could you imagine what our offense would be like with an All American type big man.
Although he is not gettng early season mentions for player of the year- I think luke harengody is an absolute beast. I think he has better numbers than Tyler and Blake- but is the defending player of the year in the best conference and putting up incredible numbers. Just because he may look like shrek doesn't mean he is any worse.
Plus- if getting him means he isn't on nd- another win for mu.
Closer to home, a healthy Liam McMorrow. Everything I read says this guy is incredibly athletic for 7+ft. Moves like he is 6'6", very athletic, very competitive, tough. Seriously, him eligible and healthy, and Fulce and Otule healthy all year and this team would be ridiculously dangerous.
Seriously...nobody said DeJuan Blair in a heartbeat? I'm surprised. he's just a Soph too - right?
I know I am not following the rules, but Shaq circa 1992. WOW! :)
I'm with you Rocky. Give me Blair. A double double machine who defends.

+1
Although, I think a guy like Thabeet would fit in perfectly with our 3 Amigos. Defense, boards, and put backs.
I'll take Hasheem Thabeet. Imagine our defense with that shotblocking presence inside. Not to mention he'd likely get a ton of dunks each game off of dropoffs from our guards.
Since people have already said Blake Griffin I'll have to go with Patrick Patterson from Kentucky. Patterson would be a great match with our guards. We could get to the FF or win it all with him.
Put Mac Koshwal on MU this year and he would be a sure fire lottery pick. Seriously, Koshwal is another big guy I would've loved to have. He's one physical specimen with his size and mobility.

No doubt! First guy that came to mind when I read the subject. Can you imagine this guy starting along with James, McNeal, Wes, and Lazar? Scary!
Blair's pretty good, but he would be even better if he was a New York City kid.
Andris Biedrins.
Rebounds, runs the court, blocks shots, great lefty touch around the basket.
staying in the mu family, i'd take robert jackson!

My first thought was Thabeet for the defensive presence.
Went to the U of L - UK game this year and I actually don't think Patterson would fit real well with MUs personnel. My comment to my buddy of mine during that game is that he'll have to be an Eastern Conference player in the NBA. He bogged Kentucky and Meeks down to some degree in that game, and he's completely uncomfortable with the ball anywhere outside the 3-point line either on a pressbreak, in transition or popping out for ball reversal in the half court on offense. He's an NBA player/maybe a lottery pick from 15 feet and in on both ends of the floor, but the perfect big guy for MU this year would be a guys who's capable of running the floor at least a little bit.
Blake Griffen hands down.......he's the next Amare Stoudemire. With our current lineup and the addition of him there would be no doubt we would be the favorite to win the national championship. No team could get up and down the court as quick nor own the glass like a team with the addition to him.

Absolutely, we wouldn't need Blake Griffin. Just Robert Jackson would help earn this club a #1 seed, and a chance at National Championship.
Thabeet, Harangody, Blair
in that order.
Not sure why many people want Thabeet. Great shot blocker, but pretty poor hands. If we had him we might be able to press and gamble more on defense with him able to cover any mistakes, I suppose.
This team is ready to win now, so I wouldn't worry about what class our player would be in. If you're taking one of the very best you have to figure they're not going to be around for long.
I'd take Griffin, with Blair number 2.

Look, I love Robert Jackson, but in no way could MU earn #1 seed with him. He was a good post presence, (best MU has had this decade) but he was not a game changer like Blair, Griffin or Thabeet.
With that said, I think this MU team with RJax would have a legitimate shot to reach a Final Four, much like in 2003. Right now, the best I can see this squad doing is an Elite Eight appearance.

We wouldn't need a "game changer." We have 4 thousand point scorers. Robert Jackson would make this team a 1 seed without a doubt, he was the 2nd best player on a final four team, pretty sure he could be the 5th best player on a championship team. He had great hands under the basket, could finish, could rebound, and could defend. That is all we need, not another 18 pts per. If anything that would f the chemistry.
Tyler Hansborough.

Can I sign up for that right now?
The Three amigos + Lazar have things pretty well in order.
I may be older than most college players, and my workouts consist of walking my ass from my office to the bathroom, but I still have 4 years of eligibility left.
Throw me in there with the 4 of them. We'll still make the big dance :)
Well if we are moving beyond active players, I'll put my vote in for Bill Walton, or Kareem, or Ewing. Christian Laettner would be just fine as well.
