Title: Schedule Quirk?
Post by: classof70 on January 22, 2009, 05:15:43 PM
Is it just a quirk in the schedule or is there a specific reason MU plays two games in two weeks?

Quirk. I believe MU is the only team with back to back "bye" weeks; meaning they don't play during the week.

I'm glad the "quirk" is almost over - people get really edgy around here where there's only been 1 game in the past 2 weeks  :o

This is annoying the heck out of me, and I can't wait for the Notre Dame game.

It is a good rest but it would of been nice if the "quirk" was spread out. So that it wasn't back to back but that just is shoulding and woulding and coulding. Lets get some big W's this weekend and Monday

I kind of like it because we won before the break each time.  had we lost, this would really be a bummer.  But we won adn rose in the polls - kind of nice to enjoy it!

But I am getting anxious too.  So..... let's beat DePaul!

GO MARQUETTE!

Hopefully it's really valuable time for Otule and Fulce. They've had some real game experience now, so things should start clicking.

Exactly.  Otule had some great minutes against Providence and built up his confidence.  Hopefully with all the practice time he's had this week and getting a few minutes vs DePaul tomorrow he can evolve into an off-the-bench impact player by the time we hit the hellish part of our conference season (the last 5 games or so).
