Northwestern just took it to Sparty AT Lansing! In spite of the refs calling a one-sided game. It almost looked like they were in Madison, but the 'cats prevailed. I'm looking forward to driving down for the NW/IU game!
I have watched NU extensively this season and this win is no fluke. Carmody's Princeton offense coupled with scrappy, pressure defense will result in a successful season for the Cats. While Northwestern doesn't have the talent other teams have, Coble and Thompson are very good and can flat out play. Purdue nearly lost in Evanston as well. Certainly a great win for NU and college basketball in general.

After MU beats DePaul this weekend they could very easily move up to #7 or #8 before the big matchup against ND next Monday.
Who cares about the ranking? lets win some ball games, get a good seed and go far in the tourney!!
Nice.. makes me feel better about the Gophers lost there. They shut us down in the second half.

Amen
One game at a time. DePaul is next up - the only game that counts!
GO MARQUETTE!!
What's amazing to me, is that Carmody has played exactly the same o and d for the last 9 years..., and Izzo couldn't prepare? Admittedly, the trapping is a new touch this season, as he finally has the size and talent to pull it off, but I can't get over it- You know what they're going to do, you see them do it, and you can't stop it. I used to drive down for several games a year, but cut back when KO left..., I may pick it up again.

That was Franesque
I thought that this thread was going to be about Villanova who played a very competitive game last night at UConn. Showed that a team that is very similar to us can compete with the big boys and laid out a blue print of how we can beat them at our place.
