Title: Track The Sporting Events You Attend
Post by: TallTitan34 on January 19, 2009, 01:54:29 AM
On ESPN's website you can now track the sporting events you have been to since 2006.  Not really sure what the point of it is but it is kind of cool.  Has anyone seen this?

I am TallTitan34 if you want to check one out.

Kind of cool, I wish it went back 20 or 30 years.  I was lucky enough to attend Nolan Ryan's 300th win at County Stadium, those types of things would be cool.

I was lucky enough to attend Ryan's final victory.  It was in Cleveland in August 1993.  I was a huge Ryan fan and it was great to go see him pitch.  Obviously, I had no way of knowing it would be his last win.  He pitched seven innings, gave up two hits and one run.  Kenny Lofton broke up the no hitter in the leadoff -- I was kind of bummed about that, but at Ryan pitched pretty well.

I was at the Game 5 of the NLCS at Candlestick when the Giants eliminated the Cubbies from contention.

Still remember the electricity from Will "The Thrill" Clark's single to center - off of the "Wild Thing" - to put the Gigantes ahead.

It was a fun ride home.  ;D

I was at that game too.  If I remember right, my roommate's grandfather was a lawyer for 1 or more of the Brewer's World Series team, so he had connections.  My roommate had his grandfather get us two tickets to pick up at will call.  When we got there, we gave them his grandfathers name and a guy walking around inside the ticket office took two tickets ff the top of a stack in his hand and gave them to us.  They were about the eighth row between home plate and the Rangers dugout.  Incredible seats.  I still remember the cracking sound the catchers mitt made when he pitched and he was ancient by that time.

It turns out the tickets we were supposed to get (upper deck somewhere) were under my roommate's name, not his grandfather's.  Like they say, its who you know!

Zambrano's no-hitter this summer was awesome as was the 1996 NFC Championship (GB vs. Carolina).
