I like Kellogg's columns.  Actually, it reminded me of one he wrote a couple years ago that was looked at on CS: http://www.crackedsidewalks.com/2006/12/successfully-navigating-conference.html

If you look at that list, we're in much better shape for the most part for following Kellogg's "recipe" for conference success.  Having starters playing 40 minutes probably isn't good for balance though, and we'll see Saturday just how good we are at winning on the road.

It's hard to believe that Luke Harangody doesn't make Kellog's list.  As much as I hate ND and Shrek's whining, he is great BBall player.  He also seems to fit all of Kellog's criteria.  Kind of a mystery there why he doesn't get any love.

I watched the ND-Louisville game and then Oklahoma-Texas the other day.  I had a chance to see Griffin and Harangody back to back in different games.  At least on that night, I think Harangody outplayed Griffin.  He had a truly incredible game vs. Louisville.  He and his team just ran out of gas at the end.

Mike Brey and someone else agrees.

This is what Brey said...not in the article.

Speaking of lauding Harangody, Irish coach Mike Brey spouted off after Saturday's win over Seton Hall, chastising outlets that don't consider the junior forward among the top-level national player of the year candidates. Herewith the full rant from Brey:

"This is a very, very special player. Let's not even kid about this thing. You know what (ticks) me off? When they mention the national player of the year, he's like the second-tier guy. How in the (heck) is that possible? He is a top-tier, national player of the year candidate. The... guys that are picking other guys – I want to see their coaching records, or I want to see their playing stats, or I want to see them in workout gear. The last one could be pretty funny, quite frankly.

"Come on. The guy is a national player of the year candidate. I probably don't do that enough, I don't go out and harp (about it). Are you kidding me? This is machine-like, what he's doing."

yes, but he's damn good

MU would be not only national title contenders but one of the favorites with a guy like him

I hate Aaron Gray and Luke Harangody. Aaron Gray just plain sucks. Luke Harangody is damn good despite the complaining.
