making any progress on his weight loss? Gotta' be costing him some quickness to be carrying 220 lbs. around on a 6'2" frame.
Even more noticeable on a 5'11'' frame.
Nearly any report you read from AAU games mentions that JC can get to the rim at will. He'll lose some baby fat as he gets older and shift weight during his time in MU's program.
That body shape hasn't slowed down Levance Fields one bit in his 3+ seasons for top ranked Pitt.
Instead of the truck, players can pull Cadougan in off-season workouts.
I stand corrected. Scouts has him listed as 6'1" 190.

ATWizJr - i read your original post as a confession of your personal current height and weight
nycw - height is, indeed, accurate.

I agree with the comment of he will be fine at that weight... just don't put any more on.
And baby fat... the guy is 18... not 3.
Arshavin, you Nola?

don't know anyone else who would support Arsenal and have that many posts. And why are u excited about possibly signing an overpriced Russian striker Nola?

I've seen Junior play. I don't really think his weight costs him any quickness. He looks goofy out there - like Khalid El-Amin did - but he can still get in the lane at will and in one of the games I saw he shut down the opposing team's top scorer.

Yes, sir, I am. A little name change for the month of January as we pursue a dynamic #10.
87--
I think AA would be a bit cathartic. Finally put the ghost of Rosicky to bed. Not 100% sold on him but also don't think he would shrink away like a Modric or Deco. With Cesc & Theo out, we lack creativity in support of RVP and Adebayor and I think he would pair well with Nasri.
BTW, if he was sold last August Arshavin would've cost around 25m pounds coming off the Euros. Wenger will snap him up for 13m in the next two weeks. A little high but not Wiltord-esque.
Which is why we didn't go for him over the summer. And Modric has not shrunken away, he has just taken a bit longer than liked to find his form. Been quite good the past month and once the entire team gets some chemistry with Defoe, he will prove to be a quality signing. Not giving away too much who I support. But anywho, back to the topic at hand...
even with Cadougan's slightly thick build, I think he will probably firm up a bit after 'boot camp' if that is to become a staple of Buzz's time here.
I carry around 220 on a 6'0" frame and I move with catlike speed and reflexes. (albeit a dead cat)

Not sure about the baby fat thing. It's been my experience that I haven't gotten bigger it's that they are making the cockpit smaller
Khalid El-Amin was fat and all he did was win a national title.
Deron Williams had the same issues with his weight and conditioning when he signed with Illinois...he's turned into quite a fine PG.

He gets to the hoop at will in AAU ball because there is very little defense-----i saw him vs Dominican over the holidays and they kept him to the outside -------Junior looked good in transition----but will have trouble in Div 1 breaking down a defense in the half court.
BTW----something no one talks about is his defense, which is non existant!
Yes, one need only go back a few years to remember the pain of no PG defense. We have been lucky over the last 4 years with DJ.

You got all of that based on watching him play Dominican? To think all those moron recruiters make so many visits before offering.

Was DJ a force on defense when we recruited him or did he develop into one over the course of his 4 years at MU? I don't seem to remember anyone talking about his defensive prowress when he was an incoming freshman. Maybe Cadougan will develop into a defensive stud. Let's wait and see.

In defense of Dominican, they have some decent guards there. Granted Jerrel Harris isn't a DI guard, but hes still a very good player at Dominican.
On the topic of Cadougan, hes not fat... he's pleasantly plump.

It wasn't a knock on Dominican. Cadougan's ability to get to rim at the college level will have everything to do with how he develops, the offense MU runs, the shooters MU has around him and the ability for Cadougan to hit a 3. To make a statement that he'll struggle to get to the hoop in Div. 1 after watching him play one game against Dominican seems odd considering the amount of work schools do before offering to some players. It was a pretty amazing and confidently written analysis for someone who has only seen him play once.
