Title: Buzz William's health
Post by: Blackhat on January 10, 2009, 07:08:27 PM
trivial thread.   But I remember the fail0ne on MUhoops.com was commenting about Buzz's health after reading that he was not eating his vegetables.    Maybe fail0ne was on to something.  this is Buzz from 2004.    Putting in 12 hour days and gaining weight, Todd Smith needs to talk to buzz.

Hmmm. Interesting pic. Didn't realize he was that svelte before.

Me thinks it is the sweet tea...and maybe the fatty Milwaukee/Wisconsin foods. His body may not be built to handle them!  ;)

Hasn't killed Majerus.

But it's come very close to...unfortunately.

He's talked about having OCD before.   A lot of neurotransmitter drugs cause weight gain.   Maybe he's getting treatment for it.

Weirdest. Thread. Ever.

And, seriously, compared to what's become of Bobby Huggins of late, Buzz is the picture of model health.

You get weirded out easy, I guess.   Dude looks to have put on 40 lbs and looks bigger than earlier this year.   I said it was trivial, just worried about the guy, he's putting in a lot of hours.

The tanker load of sweet tea he drinks everyday might take away from the water drinking benefits.    buzzing on sweet tea and dip all day.   Takes me back to college(minus the sweet tea).

Despite Buzz's weight gain I still think he's more fit for the MU head coach job than Crean is at the moment.

Buzz looks like he's coaching for Team Cancer in the Coaches vs. Cancer classic in that photo

Are you serious about this?  I didn't even know he had prosthetic legs - or that he has the ability to hover at will.  A little weight gain seems trivial compared to the other realizations that picture proves.

Hah! It's all relative.  My 5-year old at the game today saw Huggy in profile and asked if he was going to have a baby!  And that icy stare, Buzz is right, he will get no respect at all from anybody in the BE, especially the old-time coaches, although I thought the calls went our way today.

Yeah, come on.  The average MU college freshman seems to put on more weight in a simple semester, much less five years, with ENGL 1, HIST 1, and PHIL 50 as classes.  Compare that to working your butt off to earn the head coaching gig at MU and starting 4-0 in the toughest conference in the nation, possibly of all-time, and it seems trivial.  However, looking at this picture and reading about Buzz's average day that consists of four or five hours of sleep, and it is a little troubling.

Buzz doesn't look good------he certainly looks a lot older than 36 years of age. he's probably eating a lot of junk food on the run.

BTW-----Has facial features that resemble Hugo Chavez.

I'd just settle for him stopping the dip.  That stuff is about the worse thing he does for his health.  I hope he adjusts some of those life style habits.  I imagine he puts a lot more pressure on himself than most people.

Think the bigger issue are those black pleated shorts with a tucked in t-shirt.   :P

Every time I hear the name "Real Chili" it brings me back to freshman year in McCormick, wagering bowls of chili with a buddy of mine on games of RBI Baseball 2. I can rarely go back to Milwaukee without a stop on West Wells. Man, I love that stuff.

I just hope it's not next on MU's list of places to turn into student housing!

Ahhh...the good old days, getting trashed at Murphy's, gorging on some Real Chili while chucking oyster crackers at the other drunks across the counter, then stumbling home to Humphrey Hall to find a drunken Jared Lovette strumming his guitar in the hallway!!!

Great times!!

I've had terrible luck the last three times I've tried to get to Chili. Been closed every damn time.

I've never understood the belt with athletic shorts.  Maybe the weight gain is to make the belt unnecessary?

If the shorts are ironed to the point that they have a crease in them, then they are no longer athletic shorts.

I'd have to agree that I never understood the function of khaki/dress shorts.  If you're already wearing shorts then you might as well get comfortable.  Either stick to dress pants, or give into the temptation of comfy athletic shorts.

I had to dig this up...was watching one of the unwatchable local newscasts last night and they had a very short spot with Buzz including a camera shot strictly from the neck up, and while he hasn't turned into Majerus yet, he appears to be getting there.

You do realize that Majerus is a legit 400lbs.  At tops Buzz is 215??

Long way from "getting there".

well i guess the rich kids can afford lakefront .... but when you're underage, you can't get into campus bars (for long) and most parties probably stick to the Big Brewery suds....  ;)
