Title: Stud of the Game....
Post by: MURFC on January 04, 2009, 03:12:12 PM
Yes, McNeal was unconscious from downtown, but IMHO DJ's defense was the more impressive performance.  He completely shut down Cinci's leading scorer (Vaughn)....0 points...that is impressive.

Agreed DJ took Cinci out of their game on defense.

He will play in the pros on defense alone. Love the ally-oop too.

Vaughan was first team all Big East last year, not today.

They could have given that award to Thabeet before the year started... nothing was going to sway their mind on that pick.

Perhaps a better way to say it is DJ will only make the NBA if he plays top notch D as well as run the point as a true PG.  He won't get there by being a scorer.

Jerel definitely.

I thought Otule's block on his first defensive possession gave a spark to the team.

DJ pwned Vaughn...that was a masterful game of defense he played today.
