Huge upset in progress. Though the game is being played in "The AL-like" environment of the Carnesecca.

Actually, I think the site is wrong.  Looks like it's being played at MSG.

Also, Harangody cries.

Goat Boy and Doobie Boy fall to St. John's. That is not a Top Ten team. Way too slow.

Wow, big upset.  You can't lose to those teams if you want to have a shot at winning conference when every W is so precious.  Just shows how deep the BEAST really is.

Just goes to show why playing on the road, whether it's Rutgers, South Florida, Providence, etc are all going to be a bitch.  I don't care how much talent we have, those are going to be tough games to play.

Notre Dame is VERY overrated, and as good as Harangody is, there is no bigger whiner in college sports.

If ND wants any chance of doing fairly well in the BE or in the NCAA they need to find a second conisent scorer.  McAlarney would appear to be that guy but he has been all over the place this year.  They need him to play well.   Good Win for SJ's, proves how tough road games are in this conference.

+1. I'll be at the Rutgers game on Wednesday. Rosario and Farmer are the real deal. We will have to be at the top of our game if we want to win at the RAC. They'll be pretty hungry for a win after playing Pitt and UConn. Have to take care of Cincy first, tomorrow.

ND relied on three pointers too much, with bad results.  4 for 18 or 22%.  Zeller, Harangody and Hillesbrand get very tired when the opposition runs the floor.

If i remember correctly, when ND played Depaul, the announcers said brey admits they will need to outscore teams because of their bad defense.  Im looking forward to our matchup with them!

And once again, when we only play them once during the year we play in South Bend. MU has played at South Bend every year in the Big East while ND has only traveled to Milwaukee twice.

give me a break. They are 1-1, both games on the road. You would take that every week on the road.

Please, not when the 2 teams they played are DePaul and St Johns.  Good teams do not split those games and "take that every week".  Those teams are not THAT good.

I think we match up very well with ND.  On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I think Pitt will absolutely kill us.

The problem is that the road schedule isn't kind to ND this year.  They've played the two easiest road games, and are just .500.

They still have to travel to UConn, Providence, West Virginia, Cincy, Pitt, Syracuse and Louisville.

Its fair to say that if you don't find a way to beat SJU, you're going to have problems with the rest of the road schedule.

I'm worried about our trip to the RAC on Wednesday against Rutgers.  They nearly took out an undefeated Pitt team there last week.

Rutgers will be a tough game   tho Cinccy will be too.  For Rutgers, we have to play 3 days after Cinccy, and on the road.  And no BE games will be easy this year - it is clear - with SJU beating ND, etc.  We will have our hands full for each game. . .

Let's win tomorrow first - GO MARQUETTE!

Thing is, ND will be in great shape just by winning a few road games until someone snaps the streak and beats them at home.  With Georgetown going there Monday and Uconn, us, Louisville, and Nova all playing there you'd hope someone can take them down.

Rutgers will be tough.  Road game, third game in seven days, they'll have played some tough teams.  And most of us remember what happened three years ago when we went there in the middle of a snow storm and dropped what looked like a gimme game.  Still, it's a game we need to have.

Save for anybody playing USF, I don't think there will be any easy games for anybody in this conference this year.

I realize Pitt isn't made up of one man, but they also played that game with Blair sitting on the bench for the majority of the time.

I'm pretty sure USF took Syracuse to the wire...

Do you have any clue how tough road wins are in the BE? I don't give a rats ass who you are playing on the road in this conference, it is tough.
