Young and Blair are absolute beasts.

Fields is also running the team very nicely. They are gonna be one tough matchup, especially on the road.

Also I'm going to be interested to see how we match up on Monroe. He seems to do a lot on the perimeter near the elbow and above with passing and driving. He also will shoot a 3. I think Burke could match up well because he held Landry in check on the perimeter, and Monroe is much longer and taller, but Landry is faster. Either way, both big men will be tough matchups. Hopefully our guards are up to task. Young will be difficult for Hayward. That's the type of matchup that Fulce would have been perfect for had he been playing all year, hopefully he is able to get into the rotation and expand on that soon.

Blair is looking like a POY candidate today.

He'll slow down towards the end of the year.  He did it last year, I think he'll do it again.

Pitt in the 2nd half... :o   Just plain scary.

They looked every bit like a top 3 team today.

So, G-town goes into Connecticut and Abeslaps them around.   Pitt turns right around and spanks the Hoyas in DC.   Strap in, boys and girls, this is going to be a bumpy ride.   Holy Cow!   Otule and Fulce better be ready to go by the time we face these guys.

Pitt doubled up GU on rebounds and just picked apart GU after it was tied 40-40 with a 21-7 run.  The run was a nice mix of inside and outside play and GU simply looked lost.   GU contributed to the run by launching quick, contested threes.  Buzz will have to drill that point into our guards when we play Pitt.

Pitt is a scary good team.

GTown really never set up in the Princeton...Pitt set up their defense high.  Tough D by Pitt...really impressive.  I think Gtown is the more beatable for us--especially at home--with our guard play.  We may just have to let Monroe go off on us hoping we can limit him and just try to stop their guards.  Today also showed what experience can do for a team on the road.

That was just an utter dismantling in the 2nd half there.  Wow.  They definitely got my vote for the team to beat in conference.  But then tomorrow my vote will be us, and the next day it will be ND, and the next day it will be UConn...    ;D

Georgetown's weakness is rebounding.  Surprisingly their rebound margin is only +0.9 through cupcake season.

UConn's weakness is inconsistency.  Too many close games to marginal teams like LaSalle & Buffalo.  Not dominating the better teams (OT win versus Gonzaga, loss to GU).

I'm not sure Pitt has a similar weakness.  I think they're the best in the conference right now, and 2nd to UNC nationally.
