My sons and I were just talking our family history at MU. Curious on # of family members to attend MU. My family has the following MU connections:
My wife
3 siblings
6 in laws
4 niece and nephews
2 family members as faculty
1 ballboy under KO
Also, update on www.talesofcourage.com, the site has hits from over 30 states and 6 countries. If any of you find the site interesting it would be great to hear your stories. Let's have MU well represented on the site. It is getting tons of hits but no stories. All of you out there have a story that made your community better.
Ummmmm my godparent's 2 daughters went to Marquette if that counts.
Myself, my 3 older brothers, my brother-in-law, and 2 first cousins....That's about it.
On the other hand...My nephew and niece both currently attend UW-Madison (they got full rides)...My nephew transferred from MU after his Freshman year...TRAITOR!! But The Badgers are 0-2 against us since his transfer, so I can't really complain.
2 sisters
wife
brother in law
father in law
Mosarsour----Unfortunately my oldest had to transfer to UW because of money after freshman year. He hates it but funds were tight. He is still a Warrior in my mind.

I wish I could say the same for my nephew (he's totally a Badger backer)...But his reason for transferring was also a money decision. He is applying for law school at MU though.
Amazing thing is my folks did not go to college, yet put four kids through MU. Pretty neat story in my opinion.
Me, my brother, his wife, one uncle, one aunt, two cousins, and (fingers crossed) my cousin's son in the next three years. The best was having a huge "Marquette grads/current student picture" at my brother's wedding a few years back.
Grandpa, Aunt, and Uncle attended MU. My Dad loves MU but went to UW because MU didn't have the program he went into. But he got me into MU hoops at a very young age, and my addiction continues still as an alum.
Just me and my sister.
I also have Marquette High on my academic resume as well.

I love stories like these...here's mine!
My parents were immigrants in the 60's and managed to put all 4 of us boys through Marquette. My brothers are c/o '87, '89, 91, and am part of the 2000 class. Dad's proud and I'm sure my mom would have been.
I'm the one and only (as of now)
Myself
My brother-in-law (he was my roomie in college, I brought him home for spring break, he hit it off with my sister and now they've been married for 18 years with three kids....go figure). His brother, by the way went to MU
My wife's father went to MU medical school, but I never met him. He died 15 years before we got married.
There are a bunch of cousins on my wife's side that attended as well.
Looks like so far my family is the leader in the clubhouse. Post your family stories on www.talesofcourage.com
It seems that everyone on here comes from a great family tradition.

EAT- You really ready to pay the $101k projected annual tuition in 2028? And $202k in 2030 with two? Ziggie's pension plan must be awesome.

I think it helps that both sides of my family are originally from the Milwaukee area (though only a few remain now) and many of the "greats" were dentists. I also think it's funny that even though we have all these people in family who went to Marquette, neither of my parents did, and yet they sent 3 of their 4 daughters there. The youngest will graduate in May!
Self, 2 brothers, 1 cousin, all within 6 years of each other. In fact, when I enrolled freshman year, MU contacted my dad about the 3-student discount, mistaking my cousin for another brother.

well, now that I've hitched my wagon to EA instead of the sweaty Greek, I am looking to move her into acting, probably on a tv show first, then a movie or 2, then an album and finally when that doesn't work out, porn. Thus the boys will have their college paid for.
Actually, I'm hoping that they inherit their brains from the wife's side, as most of them had full rides to MU. I, on the other hand, barely graduated. ;D
