Title: RPI?
Post by: MU gimp ONE on December 23, 2008, 09:29:15 AM
does anyone have a link or can post our current RPI.  i know i hate looking at it this early in the year.  however, i'm really curious as to what these past 3 or 4 games have done to our RPI and especially our SOS.  i would have to believe that beating a solid ACC team on the road is going to pay dividends later this year.  Just think that if buzz wasn't coaching, we would have been playing at home against UT-Arlington.

And if Buzz wasn't personal friends with the UT-Arlington coach (the first player Buzz ever recruited), MU would still have played UT-Arlington.

We'll have a better idea once conference play starts, that's when I start checking the RPI daily.

Too bad Pomeroy stopped doing it, his site was great, and dead-on accurate with the NCAA formula.

actually i'm more interested in what the past 3 games did to our strength of schedule.  between Tenn and NC State, it had to jump quite a bit.

SOS per Pomeroy 266
SOS per RPI 135
SOS per Sagarin 272

Our buy teams this year have turned out to be horrible which in turn is killing our SOS and computer numbers.

Texas Southern 0-12
Houston Babtist 0-12
Central Michigan 3-7
IPFW                3-8

Texas Southern plays a pretty good OOC schedule with games against us, Texas, Gonzaga, etc.
