....looked much more comfortable on the court tonight. Looked like he belonged out there.
In fact, this was the most productive our bench has been to date, and by far!
Definitely refreshing. Personally I'd like to see Jimmy get some more shots. He shoots a high percentage. He still has a way to go defensively.
Agreed. Jimmy seemed to be more confidant tonight. He got some nice easy baskets down low, went strong to the hoop a couple time and knock his free throws down which we need him to do. Maybe having Joe on the court with him makes him feel more comfortable too?

It helps when he's not the biggest guy on the court for MU. He's much more comfortable as a perimeter player, rather than at the 5 where he has been playing early on.
There was also a time when Wes was at the 2 and Jimmy was shifted over to the wing. That may have helped as well playing a little more natural wing position than having to play out of position.
28 minutes as well. He needs to work on his defense, but it would be huge to have a legitimate sixth man that earned 20+ minutes a game and Butler is the leading candidate.
There were times when we actually had 3 6'6" guys on the floor. Crazy. Now we have MAC size. JB looked pretty good. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, it is not a train.
He has a knack for the offensive rebound. Presumably his defense will improve as will his confidence as the season goes on and with the return of Otule and Fulce, assuming they start to get ten minutes apiece or so down the road, perhaps we will see Butler at a position like the 2 or 3 where he is more comfortable rather than having to play out of position at the 4. I don't think I have seen him take a jump shot yet in the five games I have watched.
