Woo Hoo!
:D yay
Its good he got some experience before conference play, and maybe he will get to play against NC state, along with Fulce.
I'm very excited to see what he can do for us in the post.
On the court, he doesn't look anything like Erckle! ;D

Both played much more than the "minute or two" that Buzz had said on his show would be desirable before the Presbyterian target date for their return. Hopefully they both feel ok tomorrow. That said, both exceeded my expectations for their debuts. You'd have to expect Otule to be a little tenative at first and Fulce's deep 3 was boneheaded, but overall I don't see how either wouldn't give us enough value that they would be redshirted, assuming they both come out healthy. Otule's size has been sorely needed, he showed a little bit of ability to post-up, and a ton of discipline in drawing that charge. Fulce is quicker than I thought he would be, has a nose for the ball, and seems very comfortable with the ball as well. Overall, a great night to get the bench as a whole some playing time, and hopefully it helps them to show up in bigger games.
Apparently Buzz was not happy with either Fulce or Otules game.
Still, the boxscore, with Fulce, Otule, and 24pts & 13 rebounds from the bench is a sight for sore eyes...

I agree. Both looked good. Otule has a willingness to get the ball down low and looked relatively good in the post... his shots had touch, they just didn't fall. Fulce was active. Like you said, the three was a poor decision, but he rebounded and played well. Otule looked a little lost on defense, but that will improve.
There is no question in my mind we are a better team with those two getting serious minutes. They will have bad games, but I would say by the end of the year, they will both be our most important bench players.
Yes - at times he looked lost on "D", but he looked real good taking that charge and had a nice block from behind as well.
Overall, its really encouraging to have someone of his size, body type and athleticism wearing an MU uniform. Hope he feels good tomorrow. :D
the one thing about Otule that he needs to work on is staying on his feet and only leaving them after the guy he is guarding leaves his.
