Title: Sportscenter Highlights
Post by: MarquetteFan94 on December 17, 2008, 03:45:03 PM
Anyone else notice that they played the MU video of the four seniors' singing Christmas wishes from gomarquette.com...good stuff...too bad it didn't coincide with a W.

Crap I missed that.  I would have recorded it!  How much of it did they show?

They pretty much showed all of it up to the point where they all start laughing at the end.

I didn't have audio, but eating lunch today and my coworker gos "Hey Marquette!" as he points to the TV.  Looks like the seniors caroling made a sportcenter top 10 or something - I think he said it was listed as #4.  Anyone else see that?

It was the "not" top 10. But one of the anchors--I forget who--was talking about how he was a big fan of it.

On the other side of things, on TSN (the Canadian ESPN) the same clip made either #2 or 3 on their real top ten.  It may have even been their weekly top ten as the Cleveland State shot was on it as was a bunch of real pretty hockey goals from earlier in the week.  It was an entertaining clip to share with the Canadian family members.

They showed it at the Bradley center and if I understood the annoucment correctly ESPN did a 10 ten covering plays that were not top ten (10 worse plays?). The video was number four in the not top 10 plays.

That makes more sense.  At the time I did not have a clue what the PA announcer was saying.

It was actually #3 on the 'Not' Top Ten. Which is better...or worse? Hilarious that it got so much exposure though.

It also made Sports Soup.  They made fun of it but what else are they going to do on Sports Soup.

Aha, thanks for the clarification guys.  Good exposure - even if it's being mocked :)

Sports Soup is terrible.
