Title: MU Women tonight @ Pitt
Post by: spiral97 on January 09, 2007, 01:23:18 PM
#16 ranked MU women are 15-1 (3-0) and square off at #26 pitt tonight (6:30PM).. pitt is on a 2 game losing streak (at #3 duke and then at rutgers).  Our lady warriors, meanwhile, are on a 14 game winning streak on the heals of a top 25 match win over #24 DePaul on the road on saturday .. a win tonight would be HUGE!!!  not sure if it is being broadcast online though :(

This team REALLY deserves our support!  They are having the best year in the history of the program to this point!  They play Nova Saturday at the AL.  7pm I think, lets support them!  Ellis is really becoming one of the top young players in the country.  The women have a great RPI and SOS as well.  Go see the women on Saturday!

it is a shame that they dropped this one, but it was a good game.  it shouldn't hurt them too bad in the polls or in confidence since it was such a close game against a ranked team on the road.  hats off to the lady eagles.

Pitt dropped out of the AP top 25 this week but was still 23rd in the coaches' poll.  I sure hope it doesn't hurt their confidence.  Having their next game at home against Villanova - Sat at 7p athe Al - will probably help.  It would be great to see a large crowd there...
