Plenty off them in the crowd at IU tonight on ESPN2.
Haha I was just coming on here to see if anyone else noticed that.

No, Crean's head is just that big.
Check out IU's media guide. It's like they cut and pasted Marquette's 2007-2008 Media Guide.

IU was doing that before Crean got there.
They come out to "Where the Streets Have No Name".
They are up 23 right now. I'm waiting for the crowd to start chanting "We Want Tommy (Brice)" I'm surprised they didn't take that too.
There isn't a bigger head out there than Crean's very own.

Looking at your photo, you could give him a run.
It's going to be a good game: IU vs UK this Saturday. CBS will carry the game.
I was just kind of flipping through Indiana's media guide and this quote kind of made me chuckle....
"He's got a brilliant basketball mind - definitely a good hire for Indiana. Tom is definitely
qualified and will do an excellent job at Indiana. Any way that I can help him, I definitely will."
-Isiah Thomas
All I can think of is...please Isiah, do everything in your power to help TC succeed at Indiana. I'm sure your imput would be invalueable!
IU has had the big heads long before Crean got there. Good win last night for them against TCU.
I think the Isaiah stuff is kind of funny, but more for the Indiana people to read. He's still a basketball legend in the state.
The one below probably doesn't hurt him
"Obviously, being a Marquette alum, I was quite disappointed for the school
when I heard the news because he was terrific at Marquette, not only as
recruiter and a coach but as a person and in the community. As happy as
they are now, Indiana will be even more happy a year or two down the line.
He'll be great for the program and for the community. I don't think it could be
a better fit."
-Doc Rivers - Boston Celtics Head Coach
I go to about 7-10 games a year at AH, and have never seen the bigheads. Granted, I am usually looking at the cheerleaders, and not the student sections
They DID NOT have the big heads before.

QuoteI believe it's something Crean brought here from Marquette The idea is to have huge, totally random heads of people back behind the free throw line to distract opposing players.
Wow, Crean is a such a ..

TC must have figured out that if he beat TCU once in a while he'd have a shot at more banners

I laughed my ass off reading that. It's so true he probably showers with the football team and takes pictures of them and pastes them on his bedroom ceiling. :D

According to other Indiana fans, they had them during the Mike Davis era. Usually just different big heads of Bob Knight, but they were there.

I will respectfully disagree with that thread. They have had them periodically, usually of Bob Knight, Dick Vitale or in honor of another coach. Knight wouldn't let the the student belittle any other coach, but for example when Michigan State came to town during Jud's last game, they did some things to honor him, like the big heads. I was in attendance for that game.

if you like to see a good blow out I guess it'll be a good game.
Without Wade his record was only a mediocure 63 wins and 51 losses in conference play. However I must say that he's getting a great deal out of his current mediocure personnel-----one reason is that he's utilizing his center down low a lot more than he did at MU.
Buzz is correct when he says that "touches in the paint" gives that offense a 37% better chance of scoring!
