I posted in an earlier thread, but I think we should wear more of the yellow jerseys. If I remember correctly, I thought we wore the previous yellows more than the whites in the version that Jerel has on in the stud of the game pic. I think they are our coolest jerseys and prolly coolest in the nation and are another way to set us apart from other schools.

I think they usually save the gold jerseys for important games.  Al's Night, National Marquette Day, Madison, Louisville maybe...

Quite frankly, we should wear them every home game.  And again, BURN the light blue ones...

I believe we are 1 -2 with the light blues.  We beat a creampuff last year with them.

Don't think this is true. If you look at some of the big games we had in the past few years, like ND at home, Gameday,  Wisconsin two years ago we haven't worn the yellows but we did wear them against Louisville. Maybe we didn't wear them as much because Crean didn't like them?

The yellows definately the worst jersey we have.  The yellow makes the jersey way too bright making the jersey feel way to busy and makes reading the script difficult.  Being the coolest in the nation is a little over the top. 

I don't understand the why the powder blue gets a bad rap.  Ok the Marquette Script isn't the same as the other three but other than that I would put them as our second best next to the dark blues. They are shap and look pretty amazing. And how are we supposed to have a winning record if we never wear them? Its not because they are cursed.  Don't give me that nonsense.

I really think that basketball players at this level play differently because of the color of their uniforms. I remember when I was in eigth grade and we got new uniforms how excited we all were.  They were so cool.

The same thing happened in The Mighty Ducks.

I'm still defending the powder blues. You've got a really small sample size (3 games), so any result is going to be magnified.

The jerseys don't curse the players into their worst performances. Remember, we've turned in plenty of awful performances in white, navy, and gold as well. Doesn't mean we should change the team colors to green and orange.

The powder blue color is just downright ugly.  I have to agree the yellow jerseys are definitely our best and some of the cooler jerseys in the nation, and no it does not make reading them much harder at all...

Did anyone see the gold warmup pants?  Those were awesome.  I wish they would sell those over the navy blues.

Gold is my #1.  Baby Blue is the worst of the bunch.

LOVE the gold jerseys.  My first comment before tip-off was on us breakin out the gold jerseys (similiar reaction when the Bears bust out the orange jerseys).

Navy is used as road only and white only as home.  The other two are like the alternate jerseys in baseball that can be used anywhere.

That's not to say that the gold is bad, just that its my least favorite of some great-looking threads. Gets knocked down because the gold trim on the wordmark has a tendency to blend in to the gold of the jersey, and the end result is the wordmark looks smaller.

White gets the top spot because its the only jersey with no "gaps" in the side panels (ie: it looks like there are only gold and light blue side panels on the navy jersey because the navy panel blends in).

The jersey we wore from 2004-2007 were my favorite jerseys.  These are a very close second though.

Those gold uniforms look terrible. Just to reaffirm that, why don't they sell the gold uniforms in the spirit shop? My assumption is that no one would buy them. The White are our best look. And yes, just burn the light blue ones.

cheebs is right here. Our best jerseys are by far the golds. At least five of my friends (none of which go to Marquette) say they would definitely buy our gold jerseys if we sold them. Our student section wears gold so it makes sense that our team would as well. If not every home game, we should at least alternate between the gold and white.

1. Light Blue (If they had regular new MARQUETTE print on front.  Why they don't...???)

There are two things I would change about the jerseys... 1) The large things on the shoulders- get rid of it. 2) I would have preferred them to use the letters and numbers from the 01-03 jerseys.

They should drop that navy yolk thing on all the jerseys and switch to the classic lettering used on the baby blues.  Then use the gold and baby blues more often on the road.  Switch 'em all up as often as possible so we wear them each 7-8 times during the season.

We need powder blues with the same lettering as the rest, like the ones they sell in the shop. Those are sharp, and I've always been curious as to why they sell them, but don't wear them.

When is the last time we wore dark blue?  I can't remember seeing them this season, but I could be 100% wrong.

Also, I noticed jerel was wearing tights similar to those that guys like Wade and Lebron used to wear...  Are those only banned in the NBA?

The players pick what color jersey they want to wear. It came up in Rosiak's blog as something that Buzz doesn't dictate like jerkoff used to do.

If you ask me, however, the baby blues are far and away the most distinctive jerseys in college basketball. I think you'll see them a lot more this year because the players agree.

I dig the baby blues as well.  I hate the Yellow shoulder things on the Navy jerseys, and as a result, I think we should scrap the shoulder things across the board, but in general I think our jerseys are some of the best in college basketball, no matter what the color.  That being said, we probably shouldn't wear the baby blues to often given our history of crapping the bed in them.

The dark blues are only used in Road games (home team=white/light unis, away=dark unis).  We were the "home" team against both N Iowa and Dayton, so we haven't had a chance to use them yet.

Ok.  I look forward to seeing the dark blue in person next Tuesday.
