He's a liability out there on both ends of the court. Stupid fouls, stupid turnovers - they just don't seem to stop. The offset is supposed to be his shooting ability, but he absolutely refuses to shoot the ball. Even if he can shoot the three as well as anyone on the team (which I haven't seen yet - been to Duke, TT, Valpo, UW, and SU games so far and some last year) what the point if he just won't do it?
He had plenty of opportunities to shoot the ball tonight, if he's waiting for completely open looks, they're not coming, so he needs to learn to shoot under a little pressure if he's going to be out there.
(I will admit that he has been pretty descent playing the post a few times against smaller teams - I think the TT game was like that. But that's not going to work against bigger teams, so he needs to either shoot regularly or not play.)
He has absolutely no confidence! NONE! Its all in his head! He cannot handle this level of basketball.
Start Lazar...I still have some faith in Fitz but he is disappointing so far this season.
It can't be justified. I honestly believe that the only reason Fitz plays is because of the ONE good game he had last year (against Depaul). Other than that, he's proven absolutely nothing and should not be allowed on the floor.
He brings absolutely nothing to the table.
Last night, I can't justify it. For whatever reason, Fitz and DJ just didn't seem to be ready to play last night. The 2 guys that haven't been practicing were the most ready to go. That's very puzzling to me.

Perhaps the coach has them all wound too tight.
entering this season, many pegged Fitz as this team's "X-Factor"....the player that was going to step up and make the difference. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case at all. I'm definitely buying into Fitz lacking confidence....there were at least 3 times last night when Fitz had decent looks at a 3 and passed them up...Couple that with multiple turnovers throughout the game and he's turned into a real liability on offense. I'd much rather have Lazar get more minutes and more experience in the Big East.

Fitz has had quite a few three pointers blocked this year. More than I can remember any one player having. And that's just the games I've seen. I think he's second guessing his instinct on whether he's open or not because of this. The only time he'll shoot it now is when he's wide open. Even then it seems like there's too much thought that goes into it before he takes it.
