It's only 1/7 and we already have 3 home losses?!?! When is the last time we've lost 3 home games this early in the season?
I just gave the babysitter the bad news. We'd taken our infant son to 7 of the OOC games, knowing the BC would be filled with a sea of season-ticket holder no-shows .. and had planned on using a babysitter for the 8 BE games due to the expected insanity of the BC.
Not so much, now.
I'm thinking by mid-February, the BC will be less filled than for the Idaho State game. >:( >:( >:(
ESPN's gonna start wondering about the merits of that College GameDay date in Milwaukee if the boys don't get their act together.
I had two no shows next to me tonight already...bound to be more if this keeps up.
Although the college gameday is a worry, I think the three home losses and the immediate upcoming schedule is a legit worry of keeping us on the bubble or even out of the tourney. They could fall way down in the Big East right off the bat if they don't pick up some games coming up. Connecticut, Louisville, and Pitt all on the road is gonna be quite a task... Sure hope we get to the tournament,
starting out with 5 of your first 8 Big East games on the road is brutal.
Home cooking used to be the answer
I don't get that whole "5 of 8 on the road" thing. Flip one game, and it's a neutral 4 of 8. When something is one-off from being "the norm" I can't see how it's called "brutal".
Now, the BE opponents we play, yeah, that's brutal. We could probably go back to CUSA, if we asked nicely. :-\
