He looks like he could be up there with Travis, Wade, Novak & McNeal for great TC recruits.  In retrospect, he was a homerun by TC.

a really good athlete and a great young basketball player.  will definitely be a very very good college player in time.  but honestly he would not really help us much this year.  as athletic as he is he is at this point a poor shooter

Which one of our big three would you have him replace? Are you going to sit Dominic down in his senior year after all he has done for us?
Next year is when we would have gotten TT some serious playing time, provided that was okay with his wet nurse ex-coach.

PG: James 28 min, TT 8, Acker 4
SG: McNeal 24 min, TT 12, Cubillionaire 4
SF: Matthews 28 min, McNeal 4, Fulce 8

After that he starts and gets 30 min/game for three years.

Hate to say it but it seems that he made a great choice for himself.  The kid is a fantastic player that should be starting on a major college team.  It wouldn't have happened at MU this year.

But can he breakdown a zone?

Currently, that's my hottest measure of an MU recruit.

He also committed a big turnover at at a very crucial point of the game that led to Syracuse taking control of the OT.

I think he is every bit as good as Iman Shumpert ( who was TC's first choice ).

Was he playing point guard?  If so, Flynn lit him up for 25.

sorry ready to fly but your mintes do not add up.  first of all acker isd a better PG this year that TT period.  no questions a aked TT has a great future but acker is a better Pg for the next 4 months.  secondly you are giving Jerel 24 minutes agme??!! and Wes and DJ 28.  wrong  make it 32-36and you are more accurate.  Bottom line as I said before he will be a very fine player but lacks the single attribute that would get him signifacnt PT this year....that is ability to knock down the opne 18+ foot jumper.  in the other areas he is at this point weaker than the big 3.  not to mention he is what maybe 165 lbs?

question - would TT start in 2009 with our incoming class?

I'm pretty sure if he's starting at kansas he could start at MU next year

I am not sure - kansas lost several players to the pros at his position.  With Buycks(memphis) and cadougan(louisville) coming in, it is not a lock.  I think he made the right decision.

I'm actually a bit surprised Taylor is doing this well.  I'm already excited for our class next year, so losing him isn't a huge deal in my mind.

Remember when Paulas at Duke, was the grreatest ?  Now he is coming off the bench because Duke is a much better team w/ Nolan Smith at the point.

This goes to those who wonder where T Taylor would get playing time.  If it would have turned out that he was better than DJ, DJ comes off the bench.  Don't we all agree that playing time is earned.

marquete65 are you serious!!!!????  T Taylor is off to a decent start and as I posted previous will turn into a fine player but to even suggest that he might be a better player than DJ is ludicrous.   Please for the board let us know in what facet of the game Taylor can even hold Dj's jock at this time. Ball handling, rebounding, defense, quickness, passing, running the teams?... none of them is he even close at this point.  In fcat If i needed ajumper I would have more faith in Dj at this point even though neither of them are good shooters.  Paulus agrumnet pertains to that situation,  Taylor would be getting Butler type minutes, the guy who replaced him.

If TT is on the team, the 2009 recruiting class isn't the same.  MU would not have recruited Buycks if TT were on board, they play essentially the same position, and TT is probably a bit better shooter.  There's also a very real chance that with TT on board Cadougan isn't coming either.
