Title: Chicago Invitational-Back to Back
Post by: StillWarriors on November 25, 2008, 03:23:26 PM
It'll be interesting to see how MU can sustain the high tempo demonstrated so far in back to back games this weekend. I would imagine the depth we have at guard should help, but Dwight and Hazel will have their work cut out for them. Ultimately we'll have to do it in the Big East Tourney in March too, so they will have to deal with it. Hopefully Fulce and Otule will be contributing decent minutes by that point to lighten the load.

Fulce and Otule will not be back for another month.

The original poster is talking about March Big East Tourney regarding Fulce & Otule.

As per the post I made a couple days ago, the timetable for Fulce and Otule is less than a month.  Both are expected before Tennessee, and possibly in time for UW.

C'mon...seriously???? That seems awful quick given the injuries both sustained.

I hope your right...but at the same time hope they are not rushed back too soon.

I don't know how much trust can be put in them, but the announcers for the game tonight said the goal for both Otule and Fulce is December 28th against Presbyterian.

i spoke with Chris this weekend and he said that both, he and joe, were healing well and are hoping for a quicker than expected return.  he obviously didn't say that he would be back for UW, but said that he was starting to feel good.

i said that i was wondering how long they were talking since i broke my foot twice and knew the timetable.  he asked me how long i was out.  i told him the first time i was back on the court in the 5th week.  he seemed as though he was hoping to beat that.

I'm not putting faith in anything till we get official word that they are cleared.  my guess is they are being very careful with Chris and Joe's return.  however, i wouldn't be surprised if it is by at least the Tennessee game.

I talked to Chris and he said he (Chris Otule) will "definitely" be back for the Wisconsin game. Take it as it is, but that is coming from Christ Otule himself!

He'll contribute, but that's a lot of pressure on the kid! ;)

Maybe he'll be able to raise our post defense from the dead.

I'm as anxious as anyone to have CO active (and Joe) but Keaton Nankavil has some very sweet post moves, and I hate to think of CO's first game back being against him.
