Title: Did the Stanford game convince Jerel he's an outside shooter?

He should not be taking all these 3-pointers.

No one should be taking a three, Cubbie and Mo can't hit the open look either. Get the ball inside.

I'm starting to think this offense is too much run-and-gun, and allowing 31 minutes to UWM in the first 12 minutes is unacceptable.

I feel confident that you they can go run and gun without sacrificing a ton on defense, but during the first 12 minutes we simply gave up too many open looks from deep and I feel like our help defense on drives and dump downs to the post is extremely slow, thus giving up higher percentage shots.

With a run and gun style they are of course going to give up more points due to the fact that they are not holding onto the ball as long and chewing up clock, but with that being said, we still need to button up the d to prevent some of those easy looks, which we did a bit better towards the end of the first half.

I think overall the run and gun, if we want to call it that, has opened up a lot of lanes and given us many looks inside of 7 feet which we might not otherwise see due to our lack of height.  It will, however, be tougher to run against some of the more athletic teams.  should be exciting none the less.

Yeah, it is exciting. But talk about the lack of an inside game: Burke has attempted ONE shot in 2 1/2 games.

Has Burke scored all point this year?  He looks terrible, like he had digressed since last year. UWM has three big men, including the heavyweight, who I'd take.  Good grief, Buzz better go to plan B, whatever that may be, before BE play. Or this team is in big trouble.

At this point, with the scoring we have from the big 4 I don't care a bit regarding burke or hazel scoring a bucket, but i'm definitely concerned with the lack of rebounding on their part.  luckily we have some excellent rebounding guards, but we need to at least get a couple of token rebounds from a legit big!

and then there was a hazel sighting!  bucket and then a monster block.  some athleticism from a big man.  it is possible!!!!

Lack of an inside game???  We've scored more points this year in the post/paint then I've seen in a long time.  Lack of a talented big man, no doubt, but it looks like Buzz has figured out other ways to score in the half court than running one of a million set plays.  Teams are going to have to double the MU wings in the post and that's going to allow some good looks for guys like Hayward.

He should not be taking all these 3-pointers.

Jerel was a career 30% shooter from beyond the arc heading into this season.

The line moved back a foot this season.

Earth to Jerel: Take your defender off the dribble.......you can't shoot the deep shot efficiently.

McNeal should not be putting up 5 plus a gamefrom three.

A guy that should not shoot at all, unless it is a lay-up, is Acker. he is shooting like 22%

Acker was a 43% 3 point shooter last year.  Please don't jump to such steep conclusions after 3 games.
