How does any Northern school get a good golfer to attend?

Mike was a late bloomer whose game just took off. I remember reading somewhere that he didn't have many options coming out of high school. Hank Raymonds knew Betsy Van Sickle from her MU days and connected Mike with Tim Grogan.
