How about cheerleaders?
1. Lisa Dooley
2. Gail Pudvan
3. Stumpf (dude could walk the lenght of the court on his hands.)
While perhaps not as popular, greatest mu band members? I can only think of two:
1. Jim McIlvaine- all time greatest by far
2. That guy who wore the pink suit at the womens pink out game last year, now that took some cohones!

Any list of cheerleaders must mention Trish Dillon
Greatest mascot? No contest, Willie Wampum.
Sorry TT

Cheerleaders:
Rondell Sheridan (the dude's now the dad on the Disney Channel's "Corey In the House" and "That's so Raven").
Joe DeGuzman (the guy who broke his neck and was paralyzed in the '70's while tumbling during a game.)
Unfortunately, I don't know the names of any of the many girls that belong on this list. Ya'll should post photos with your nominations. ;)
What was the name of the cheerleader that dated Greg Clausen? Anyone know? I nominate her.

That would be Jen Lada. Now married to former MU soccer player Sean Reti and a sports anchor on channel 6 in Milwaukee.

Haha no problem. MUwarrior87 and myself actually went to the library yesterday to check out the old mascot costumes which are available for viewing. Just go to the archives on the third floor and the person at the desk will help you.
We were able to see the very Willie Wampum in your picture, the First Warrior, and Blueteaux.
Willie Wampum's head is huge. I have no idea on the person inside wore it without tipping over. Also the only way for the person to see is a 3 or 4 inch hole under the nose so you can only see down.
The First Warrior costume has so many pieces it's hard to tell what's what but it is extremely detailed. It takes several boxes just to hold everything.
Blueteaux is awesome. They have two seperate Blueteaux costumes in addition to the awesome basketball jersey seen in the pictures.
I highly recommend checking them out if you have the chance.
Perhaps some day the current eagle costume will end up there as well!
TT,
Willie's routine included his solo dance on the court during the first timeout of the 2nd half. He chopped his tomahawk throughout and when in the vicinity of the opponent's bench, the crowd went nuts. Yes, old fart alums as well as students. All this while the band played "Cherokee." Awesome man, simply awesome.

Wasn't Joe in the mid 80s? I graduated in 84 and I thought it happened the year after that.
I second the Trish the Dish nomination. Also there was a stunning blonde in the early 80s. Can't remember her name though.

Joe was class of 1984. I don't know if he graduated that year, given the injury. He is, however, a very successful endodontist, having overcome a very nasty spinal cord injury.

That would have to be Frank Nicotera. One of the best drummers that I have ever played with. On playoff trip in New Orleans, I think it was "76, they actually let him play at a bar on Bourbon St and gave him a solo.
Cheerleaders:
Therese Clemente '91
Sorry, don't have a picture, but she was on the cover page of the College Beauties section of Street & Smith's basketball preview.

You are right. I was with Frank and other band members at that bar. Story is about a dozen of us took over the bar and were spending some money there. Frank was itching to join in and jam. Owner said only union musicians were allowed to play. Frank pulled out his union card and the gig began. Frank did himself and Marquette proud.
