Title: Chicago St. Backcourt
Post by: esotericmindguy on November 18, 2008, 08:41:23 AM
I was very impressed with Chicago St.'s backcourt last night, and have no idea how those two guys ended up at a independent, low level DI school.....Holston walked on!  It looked to me that McNeal and James were playing solid defense on those guys and Holston was the best shooter I've seen them play outside of maybe McAlrney(sp?).

So those of you who look at the box score and think MU played terrible don't be to alarmed, that backcourt could definitely play in the big east.  Holston was hitting some unreal 23-24 footers.

Holston is a few inches from being an NBA guy. He's good, but way short.

Build-wise, he reminded me a lot of Cordell Henry.

It's been done before at his height tho. With his ability to hit the 3's, even with hands in his face, me may just make it. Doubtful he'd get drafted but it wouldn't surprise me if he made it.

I guess that should have been expected as he became Chi State's career leading scorer two days prior (http://www.gocsucougars.com/news/2008/11/15/MBB_1115084644.aspx).
