The Marquette SuperFans have organized a student bus trip to the men's basketball game at DePaul on Feb. 3. Tickets cost $25 and can now be purchased through your Fanatics account. The price includes game admission and transportation.
We only have 100 tickets so get them before they sell out. You buy the tickets the same way you bought your fanatic tickets except you click on depaul bus trip.
do you know what time the bus/buses leave Marquette? And do they leave immediately after the game?
They will probably leave marquette sometime between 4 and 430 and they will leave right after the game
one more bump to make sure students dont miss out
are they sold out? i in my marquette account and i can't find where to get a depaul student bus ticket anywhere...
are you in your fanatic account? if not go here
gomarquette.com/fanatics
and click on my accoutn then click on purchase NCAA tickets then fanatic bus trip
Thanks Gwaki. I just purchased my ticket. Do I print it out prior to the game just like the other games? I'm looking forward to the trip!
Gwaki, is this students only?
What the hell.
I'll pay an extra $20 to add Ben Simon to the trip.

It is right now... Teaches you to graduate
Id assume you are opening it up to everyone if all 100 don't get filled?
Keys to a good DePaul bus trip:
- Marquette Winning the Game
- Ben Simon
- MUGimpOne and Friends
- Victory Bourbon
- Token DePaul fan with Foam Noodles in Hat to heckle
- Several Cases of Beer with "Ice" somewhere in the title
- DePaul giveaway of a t-shirt bashing Marquette with three grammar and spelling errors
- DePaul priest asking MU bus crowd to give back free t-shirt giveaway
- A classy MarqPTM (in blazer) roaming the concourse of the Allstate

You forgot one important item:
Billy in Panda suit as fan of game
While I don't like the panda suit it was hilarious to watch a Marquette fan go into the DePaul student section and be fan of the game.

Almost as funny as the postgame confrontations in the parking lots.

I brought classy to a whole new level. It's amazing what two 40s of Olde English and a tin of Skoal will do to you.
What kind of bourbon you bringing this year? The good stuff?
I'm going to jump in the wayback machine here... Anyone remember a hand painted signs that read "DePaul = Taliban, Marquette = Best" or "DePaul DeBlows"???
I still think about those and smile. They were a few years back when the Taliban was topical...but not taboo.

The "DePaul DeBlows" sign was great! Not sure if it was the same one you saw, but an alum gave it to us to get into the student section one year and the next year we used it at the Bradley center until security confiscated it. It was about 7-8 feet long.
Another great DePaul memory was getting in trouble with Dick Shaw's girlfriend for drinking on the bus to and from Rosemont. Dick Shaw was one of Dean's excellent big men Canadian recruits at the time. Good times!
As an alum, I highly encourage any current MU students who have the means to go on this trip. The Bus Trip down to DePaul for the 2006 game was probably one of my top 5 Marquette Basketball experiences ever.

Even in light of the "Marquette Losing" part?!?!? (although i did thoroughly enjoy my pre-game chipotle, and cheering "bradley center south!")
PS... do you remember the "Marquette Mar-sucks"? poster??? talk about negative creativity
and also that the Depaul fans apparently are illiterate and do not know how to spell their own school's name (i mean, why else would the cheer squad be spelling it out for them?)
Perhaps it was to remind them which team for whom to cheer.....
I'll have to admit, that was a great bus trip. still have my DePaul student section shirt. when they came over to collect them, i shoved it down my pants. no one wanted it back after that.
good ole "Al's Army" in the lower bowl. i don't think the depaul ticket office knew what they were getting into.

I thought it was "Al's Kids"?
yeah, you're right.
tomato tamato... who cares, AL still would have been proud
I just wanted to make sure the humor translated that DePaul thought there was going to be some sick children there instead of a drunk group of Marquette students.

Not sure what you're talking about (no teal?)
Because we won both our games against DePaul in 2006. http://www2.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=385855 (http://www2.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=385855)
You are probably thinking of the 2005 and 2007 MU @ DePaul games.

RTB, Dick Shaw was a KO recruit, though he never played for KO. Mike Deane recruited Jarrod Lovette who is the best MU big man not named Robert Jackson of the past 13 years.
The best part of a MU-DePaul game is beating up Chet Coppock in the parking lot afterwards...whoops, did I just say that out loud?

whoops, you're right. i was not being sarcastic, just misremembering . . . I only went to the 2007 away depaul game . . . .maybe we'll win there
this year, eh?

My mistake. Speaking of Canadians, Abel Joseph was another one of my favorite great north big men. Absolutely looked like a stud before the game started. Jarrod Lovette wasn't too shabby, but didn't he have some personal issues?
