On espn.com Pat Forde says that a Big east team will have the bottom fall out this year because the league is just to top-heavy. He suggests Marquette, Villanova or Georgetown. I fear he may be right. It's awesome to be in such a great conference.

MU certainly is suspect up front, especially with Trevor gone and Joe hurt. MU extremely vulnerable in the frontcourt.
I thought that the BEast will be very very challenging for us - if we come in 5th, that to me would be pretty good. THe BEast is loaded, and loaded upfront too - we are not. We will have to claw and scratch out victories there. . .going to be tough.
MU has a significant senior class with the Amigos and Burke as well as a seasoned Hayward. MU is probably not going to win th BE this year, but we'll make lots of noise in a reasonably successful NCAA-bid season all things considered.
Gtown is much more likely than us to fall down a notch. They lost Hibbert, Wallace, and Ewing Jr. There's a lot of slack that has be picked up there.
It doesn't matter how loaded it is. There is absolutely no excuse - barring injury to Jerel/Wes/Dom - for MU to finish below 6th. None whatsoever. Anything under that, and it's all on Buzz. Sorry. Too senior laden this year.

Maybe, but they're talented and have some bigs.
We have experience but lack the bigs. Watching the Louisville, Pitt, and UConn highlights, I don't know HOW we're going to bang with those boys.
