I know exhibition losses can happen, but that doesn't take away the sting...

Is Bradley in Division 1?
Yes, last time I check they are in the Missouri Valley.
A very solid program they are, and Jim Les was talked about to fill our coach opening this year. Good coach and good pgm
It's exhibition. Doesn't mean anything. Michigan State last year lost to Grand Valley State who is either DII or DIII, can't remember. MSU ended up having a good year.
I'm more surprised that Platteville, not under the leadership of Bo Ryan, is able to continue to have a successful program.

Soo.....You're comparing UW-Platteville to these other D1 programs???? D1 programs minus Western Michigan that were good enough to advance to the NCAA Tourney????
OK. i remember losing to Tulsa in the CocaCola/Blue Gold Classic, but I can't remember when we have opened the season with an exhibition loss to Alabama or Holy Cross. Half of your statement must be referring to the NCAA Tourney and the other half to the aforementioned BG Classic. I don't see how losing to teams that qualified as at large NCAA teams, see Alabama, is quite the same.
He's talking about all post-season upsets. Lost to Tulsa in the 2002 tourney, Bama in the 06 tourney, W. Michigan in the 05 NIT, beat HC in the 03 tourney of course. All of which do not come close to correlating to an exhibition loss to a DIII school.
UW-Madison hosts UW-Whitewater later today.
We are all Warkhawks tonight!!!
McCheese did post this in the Superbar.

Keep in mind they've been to two Sweet 16's recently.
