MUTV To Provide MU-Colorado State-Pueblo Broadcast On GoMarquette.com
Nov. 6, 2008
Milwaukee -
MUTV Video Stream (http://all-access.cbssports.com/player.html?code=marq&media=88067)
Marquette University men's basketball fans not able to attend the squad's exhibition matchup with Colorado State-Pueblo on Saturday afternoon will be able to watch the entire game on GoMarquette.com thanks for MUTV.
The student-managed television station will feature the entire gameday coverage through the web site's Marquette All-Access multimedia platform, beginning with a pregame show and concluding with a postgame wrap up.
Brian Henry (play-by-play) and Jonathan Ficke (analyst) will call the action from the Bradley Center beginning at approximately 12:45 p.m. CT.

SWEET! That's great news. Jonathan - surprised you didn't break the story here!
Looks like I need to rearrange my Saturday plans now.
For those of us who are busy Saturday, will it be archived so we can watch it later?
Technical tip for watching: Myself and others had problems using Firefox to watch the Midnight madness. I switched to Explorer and it worked fine.
Hey Jonathan or anyone else who would know,
Anyone have issues using Safari for the Midnight Madness webcast?
Thanks

Great Question...anyone know?
Guys, a couple logistical things about tomorrows game:
1. I have not heard anything about whether Safari works well with the stream or not.
2. Since we are not hooked up to our control room we are going to be relatively limited as to what we can do from the Bradley Center. This means no scoreboard graphic or game clock, sorry guys. We will, however, be taking shots of the scoreboard as often as possible (dead balls etc...)
3. If anyone wants to donate a broadcast truck we'd be able to deliver a much better broadcast ;)
Not to co-opt the MUTV limelight as I think these guys are doing a great job...but in case some folks have trouble with the MUTV link...can also view at:

How about the archive question?
Brian and Jonathan, you guys are doing a great job. truly appreciate your efforts. will this be a service available during the regular season games?
In order to view the broadcast with safari, you may need to download Microsoft SilverLight:
http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/ (http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/)
This got everything up and operational for me.
Also, Brian and Jonathan are definitely doing a great job. Kudos to MUTV!
Unfortunately I am 99% sure that was our one and only game to broadcast this year.
It should be archived somewhere on gomarquette.com. If you have any idea where Madness is archived, it should be in the same place.
Yeah, great job. A good 80% of the time, you'd have thought ESPN was doing the announcing.
The one thing I would have liked you to do more is say the time and score, since you had no graphics.
Is there a reason MUTV didn't show the game on MUTV? I think it would have been ok to break away from MTV-U for a few hours.
We couldn't network back from the Bradley Center to campus.
Loved the "Sweet Jesus!" on Burk's block ;D

AGREED! I lost it when he sad that. That's some good stuff.
Can we start the petition to replace Mike Kelley with one of you fellas??
I'm sure I speak for Brian when I say that getting paid to watch college basketball and talk about it would be pretty sweet. Unfortunately the 4 letter network and friends seem tough to get into. You really need to wow them with in depth analysis about the hometown of Pitt's players in order to be pro-quality analysts.

Zing!
+1 to you guys doing a great job. Better than some of ESPN's 15th-team guys we get on the ESPN+ broadcasts sometimes. Awesome job!
Did anyone ever figure out whether the game was archived? Thanks in advance.
