The Roots are playing a "2 drink show" at The Rave tonight. If you are a fan of them and attend MU it would be criminal not to go.
Who?

I saw it on TV 20+ years ago. Didnt read Alex Haleys book but thought LeVar Burton was very good.
I'll be going to Turner Hall for the Local H show instead... not a 2 drink show but the tix are only 10 bucks

I guess today is my lucky day. My friend got 15 of the 2 drink tix in the mail because she's on the The Rave's mailing list.
This will be the 1st time I'm missing a show by The Roots EVER! I wish it wasn't on a Thursday night, otherwise I'd be there. They were amazing at Summerfest this past year and always put on a great show at the Eagle's Ballroom.
Whoever's going tonight , I'm sure you'll have a great time. They never disappoint.
had free tix tonight. couldnt make it. hope the show was good. atmosphere is next though. even better.

Better than The Roots? No way. Black Thought is easily one of the top 10 lyricists of all time. Atmosphere is not even close. I do like Atmosphere, don't get me wrong. But there's no way he's on Thought's level yet.
The last few Roots shows I have been to have been a little disapointing. Hopefully last night was better.

It was very good. They did convincing covers of Sweet Child Of Mine and the Immigrant Song at their show. They never fail to surprise.
