anybody with access want to provide a few more details; i.e., is MU in the Final Four?

Michigan State, Oregon, Texas, and MU
I'm going to say Texas will be out.
Oregon is surprising, he must really want to get into some of that sweet Nike gear.
I think it's us or MSU.
I have been predicting MU since May. From what I hear it is a lock.
A lock? It diidn't even seem like we were pushing to get him that hard after Maymon agreed. I could be wrong but I always thought MSU was number one in the running as of late.

Care to tell us where who you hear from?
Why early?? Didn't he promise his family he'd commit on mother's death anniversary? Thought he was really stuck on that date. Something is going on to move his date up, maybe Snaer's visit or he just wants to end the process. Alot of kids have commited in the past htree weeks.

Highly unlikely. Did you read the article? He said Michigan State is probably his leader. He's tight with Lucious, who's been pushing him to become a Spartan. I think he's MSU's most likely.

I would think it has to do with wanting to be sure the scholarship is still there for you. When he made that statement he was very highly ranked, which could mean that schools would have held a scholarship longer for him. Not saying he isn't a good get, but early on his recruitment was more national than it is now. I wouldn't want to be left standing when the music stops.
I once again predict MU is the choice. Confirmed today with someone I trust and confidence is high at MU we got him.
Someone I trust? Confidence is high at MU we got him? Sorry not sold on this. Why would the kid still be lining up official visits??
Jamil Wilson to Marquette is anything but a lock. I'd say Michigan State leads as of right now.
Most on here had Wilson gone three months ago. Now we in final four. I'll stick with my prediction.
If he chooses MU, where does he play? It sure looks like we are set at the wing forward position for now.

He'd be at the 2 or 3, with Erik Williams getting the other spot. Maymon more than likely would play the 4.

Again I ask...did you read the article? From the kids own mouth, he said MSU is the leader. That's the best possible source there can be.
Hey, despite Maymon and E. Williams coming in, I'd still love to have him, but it likely won't happen.
MSU all the way in IMHO.
if we got wilson and snaear, i dont care who has to leave, it would be one of the most impressive classes ever at MU. If you ask me, with top 100 guys like that if you have a shot at them you take them, even if it means someone has to transfer or that there is a logjam at a position.
remember the logjam at center for the bulls when they had the 3 headed monster- longley, wennington, and purdue. that seemed to work out well ;)
Did he give a definite date for announcing his choice or a specific time frame?

Do you think Buzz will do something super cool and show up at Jamil's house just after midnight in a gold limousine with yellow and blue balloons? That would be sweet.

Though he would look good in Blue and Gold, I've felt that MSU his next best choice after us.

That sounds more like what a Big Ten coach would do that couldn't hack it in the Big East.

Izzo's current reign of mediocrity continues...ask many WI HS coaches and they would take Kwamain Mitchell over Lucious and Maymon over Wilson. Both these kids blew up as grade schoolers and have slipped ever since. That doesn't make them bad kids, but they're not the blue-chippers everyone thinks they are. If Jamil comes here, great, but to me he'll be our 4th best recruit behind EW, JM & JC.
"THEGYMBAR" : what are your sources feeling regarding Snaer?

Really? Reveal his sources over a message board? Give me a break, guy.
Coach didn't say "Reveal your sources" He asked what these supposed insiders had to say about Snaer. Seems like a fair question to me.

He never implied MU sources, he implied sources close to Wilson. They wouldn't know anything about Snaer.
I heard Wilson is close and Snear is longshot at best. Loved the visit but probably staying home.

Personally I think the Bobby Bowden approach might work.

"GYM" Thanks for answering my question.
As for the intent of my question - for anyone who had a problem with it: It appeared as though "GYM" was confident with the information he had on Wilson and I just thought he might also have new info on Snaer as well. That's it. I didn't ask for sources to be revealed etc.....Some people on this board need to relax a bit "guy"!
more like will purdunk
Probably down to three schools now. Texas just signed Jordan Hamilton, a SF from Los Angeles, number 2 rated SF.
