Title: Going to Game - Please WEAR GOLD
Post by: ChiTown Al on December 08, 2006, 11:22:25 PM
Wearing Gold is not just for the students. Many of you do wear Gold, but many don't, so we don't color-block our gym like other major programs do (UNC etc., and even our esteemed Sat opponents when they play at home). This is a HUGE game for MU in bragging rights and post season tourney seeding, so our team needs all possible visible, and vocal of course, signs of support.

When are all the other fans gonna get on board and WEAR GOLD to the game? MU has tried to push this very good team spirit idea... it seems so easy, and more importantly intimidating to opposing teams. A lot of Gold T-shirts have been given to you ticket holders - they can be worn over your shirts or sweaters. Even my younger brothers, who are long time season ticket holders and have been given Gold sweatshirts as gifts from me, said "that's for the students." I don't think so. Get with it all MU fans. Your favorite old MU blue or grey sweatshirt is OK for many occasions, but for games, get with it and WEAR GOLD... especially for this game. Let's surround and blind our opponent with 360 degrees of MU fans in GOLD. Pass it on to your friends that don't come here too. MU fans show your GOLD support for our team on Saturday.

Be LOUD and Be BOLD - WEAR GOLD. GO MARQUETTE - Beat Bucky!

Bring out those gold alumni vests...and we want to see you standing and making some noise after those big plays. Once the alumni get going the BC is on fire..

Absolutely, wearing gold isn't just for students anymore. If you have a gold shirt, wear it. If not, buy a cheap one at the BC. Make the whole stadium a sea of gold!
