This highlight, along with his 40 pts vs UConn I've always wanted to see again. For some reason, I searched it today and boom. There it is.
Loudest the BC has ever been and I've been going to games for 20+ years.

The BC was measured at 114.7 decibels when he hit that shot. What a moment.

Ooze is the best after the shot.
-
I miss caring that much about beating an opponent.
-
Drove up in a terrible snowstorm to see that game. Well worth it.

I hope we can resume a series with Notre Dame again. Those games were electric.
Unfortunately, with ND's ACC success, I don't know if that's happening again anytime soon.
-
That brings back memories. I remember a few of us knocking each other over (and half a row of chairs) in section 106 in the student section when that shot went in.
-
The pre-HD era has not aged well.

If only we could have crowds like that again

Seems like forever ago

If only we could have crowds like that again
1.) We need a winning product. That's coming soon. 2.) Upgrade the schedule. Remains to be seen what's possible. 3.) Have a coach and administration willing to go the extra mile to promote the program. Remains to be seen what changes will be made going forward. 4.) The new stadium should help a lot. Hopefully that's a reality sooner than later.

Spectacular.
"Largest crowd to watch a college game in the state of Wisconsin."
-
Now days that crowd seems so small

Favorite moment of college. Not just the shot, but what ensued in the student section.
I almost wish I hadn't just watched this TV clip. It doesn't do justice to my memory of the event. In fact, my recollection was such that the game was over when the shot went in, even though the clip demonstrates there was clearly time left on the clock. At that point, it didn't matter, we had won the game, and the upper deck of the student section was bedlam.

Obviously spent more time on that marketing fact than than diagramming a play.
Thankfully he recruited one of the all-time best shooters in basketball history.

Oh yeah, amazing. Were you in the vicinity of that really obnoxious and wasted ND student? He eventually fell down the stairs. The poetry was just too much.

I thought it was done then too!

Sweeeeeeeeet.

To people that want to moan about how we needed that good of attendance these past couple years...not everyone is a die hard fan and a vast majority of people dont want to flock out to a game when the team they want to cheer for isnt any good. Thats a fact. Once we get good again, the attendance will increase dramatically.

That SOB could really shoot. It looks like a desperate fall away shot until the side angle, where you can see that he squared up beautifully.

I agree. Watching the first view, he looked off balance, and, coming off a dribble, so un-Novak-like. Then that side angle shows how well he got up, squared up, had a beautiful stroke, kicked his leg (classic Novak) and you just knew it was going in.

Unfortunately, there is not an opponent in the BE now that will 1) , draw the largest crowd ever 2), stir that type of passion and 3), we take so much pleasure in beating.
Good times.

To answer your originalquestion, March 14, 2013.
A couple thoughts: bring back the striped rugby shirts for the band immediately.
What kind of play was that? You have that much time and you end up with "have our 6'10" guy dribble to the corner for a fade away three"? Great shot though.
The boxer boys!
Wish I could have been there.
