a lottery ticket win? "Soon DJ?" Look, we all wish him well, but James has a major uphill task in front of him if he's going to play in the Association. If he has the kahonas to do it, he'll prove alot of skeptics, including me, wrong. Smart money says return to the Warriors and work on getting better.

Smart people say that.  Smart money, not so much.  As more stories come out, muddied or not, I am thinking DJ is going to hire and agent and damn the torpedoes.    There's just so much smoke, I think he's going to take a chance.  He may have it blow up in his face, though.

.. back to the OP, if DJ is gone, the hype machine will turn to McNeal.   Who knows what happens with him next season and the NBA.

??? Seriously that was your first post?  Complaining that our school sells jerseys for our third year players who have all big east potential?  How is that a hype machine?  It's called a business.

Easy, Rawdog.  I wouldn't have called that complaining.

.. actually, I'm surprised Wes and Jerel didn't have jerseys for sale earlier .. Let's face it, Wes is dreamy.  :-*

Also Gene Berce late 1940s early 50s------and Dave Quabius, 1940s----plus  a few others from MU of that era who played either with the Oshkosh All Stars or Sheboygan Redskins-----which was a league with the NY Knicks, Syracuse Nationals, Fort Wayne Zollners, Tri City Blackhawks, Boston Celtics, among a few other teams which was the forerunner of the NBA as we know it today!

The Ft. Wayne squad was named the Ft. Wayne Zollner Pistons.  Nmaed after the Mfg. company that owned the squad...Zollner Piston.  Later moved to Detroit.  Sort of ironic in that most people assume the Detroit Pistons were originally from Det. and named that due to the Detroit auto industry.  Indirectly they were as the pistons Zollner made were made for Detroit. Still ironic.  At least they moved to a city that fir the nickname, Unlike the Utah Jazz!

Oh grow some thicker skin newbee.  I'm sorry where I come from "hype machine" has negative connotations and is usually used when complaining.  Although I guess saying "speaking of hype machine, the spirit shp already has Mcneal and Mattews jerseys for sale" would only be a complaint coming from a dirty, anti-corporation, anti-capitalism, maddison based hippie.  So contingent on you not being that, I retract my statement.

It may easily be down to one by end of next season.  DJ is no guarantee and Novak and Diener are hanging on by a thread.  Hopefully their new coaches will find ways to make use of them.
