Champions!  In OT!!

1.  HE. Hurt most of the game and it showed. HE came up big when we needed him.
2.  Fishy.  Tough game.  He's a good one.
3.   Haanif.  Kid can play.
4.  Du. Tough shots but needs to make his free throws.
5.  Engine is going to be good, but I'm not sure it's his time to take over a game yet.

Go Warriors.

After reading Lighthouses, I realized I completely forgot that HE was injured most of the game.

So, Henry.

But shoutout to the Engine, for being a true PG and really running the show.

Congrats on your first SOTG, Henry. Got another double-double with 18/11, hit some clutch FTs, fouled out Goodman, and only 1 foul against him in a night with 50 fouls called.

Pretty much the definition of a team effort. But if I HAD to pick one, I'd pick HE. Carter would be a close second,  especially since he played really well in the last 2 mins, which is great to see!

Henry.  6-6 from the line, no turnovers.  I'd have been clamoring for him to get physical, but that wouldn't have gone over well tonight - he played to the refs' rules and had one foul.

Runner-up to The Engine.

How about me, for walking away from the TV when we went down 4 and they got the ball back after Cheatham's charge?  My superstitions of my favorite teams never playing well when I'm watching paid off again (although I watched the whole Packers/Vikings game and all of yesterday's LSU game...although, of course, I couldn't see the 10-0 start, so...).

I don't think that's how this works.

I'm going with Luke on this one. But I don't think they played well. I don't think anyone on either team played well. All the ridiculous calls on both sides of the ball made this game really difficult to watch.

Don't get me wrong, the win was great. And it's true, Henry never seems to be doing much but comes out with a double-double.  I just didn't feel anyone was hands down the stud.  Just like there's no stud when we lose, even if someone was lights out.

Henry: Clutch rebounding and free throws down the stretch. A quiet 18 points, and 3 blocks
Henry
Henry
Luke: Man among boys. Get him the ball whenever possible.
Traci: Solid game, love his energy. Had a few ill-advised shots though
Duane: He is starting to get the hoop at will which is huge, we will need that this season. Gotta hit the freebies though.

Yup. Traci shows flashes and might get one at some point, but didn't like the rushed three and just a few too many bad decisions for my uncounted vote.

Played 42 minutes, handled the ball on every possession, ran the offense , had 0ne turnover. The "rushed three" came when he had to bring the ball the length of the court with six seconds left. 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 of 7 from the line. What exactly do you want the kid to do?

Fischer was solid, but missed too many easy shots for my taste last night.

HE was the right choice for last night, with Carter a solid second and Luke third.

No doubt.

But I think Henry's 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 36 minutes playing with a bum leg was a better performance.

Exactly.  HE could hardly move and did what he did last night.  At times I thought he looked like just another stiff 6'11" white kid.  To his credit, he sucked it up and took it to the hole number of times and had the stat line he had.

All kidding aside, I am thankful we can argue for choices again.  This season will be "Life on an Elevator", but the team learned a lot about themselves on the rebound from being body slammed by Iowa.
