44 combined minutes from the three bigs, means at least a little twin tower action.

Shouldn't hurt the seed line, a la Kansas State and Michael Beasley.

- 12 TOs, Koby with 4
- Bailey 4/6 from 3
- Not many fast break points
- IU without 2 of their starting guards
- Theo with 1 reb and 1 block in 10 min
- Sacar took, by far, the most shots on the team
- Koby got to the line a bunch, and made them
- 43 FT for IU. That's a lot

I remember when these scrimmages were super secret and no information was supposed to be leaked. Now we get complete box scores, including +/- points for each player.  Very nice to see.

Agreed. As a team, MU had just 12 turnovers which is encouraging. While both Sacar and Koby were cold from the field, they were aggressive taking the ball to the hoop -- drawing 10 fouls and earning 12 free throw attempts between them. That's what Wojo means when he talks about putting pressure on the defense. This should open things up for the offense, both inside and outside.

Also, Markus had 5 assists and only 2 turnovers.

Koby 2 assts, 4 TO's.

And 1-9 from the field. Made his free throws, though.

Looks like both teams played their best players extensively, though IU without both starting guards. Stats don't say we were all that good, but in a real game I don't think Sacar and Koby are putting up more shots than Markus.

Well...MU beats Indiana in a scrimmage...which just so happens to be the last two visits for Dawson Garcia. If the decision is close, maybe this tips the scales. It was the Dawson Garcia bowl!

All I know is he visits Indiana next weekend, and then is planning to visit MU sometime after that. There was a radio interview with him on a Memphis radio station and he stated he is visiting MU after Indian. No date was given though. Kind of like that MU gets the last visit. So obviously the visit will be sometime in November..which starts on November 13th, which is the same day MU plays Purdue. How about a visit the weekend before that, an announcement the day after and a signing and victory over Purdue that day?? :)

Morrow has to lay that ball in last year instead of barely dunking it.     BB looks gooooooooood.      Love hearing Markus and Sacar slap of hands.  Minutes dictated a little bit by foul trouble.     Fairly clear what the pecking order is.

Highlights were awesome - based on those we should have won by 50+.

They should Tweet out a lowlights video. Only Marquette Wojo’s team would Tweet our just the highlights.

Should definitely cater to the nattering nabobs of negativity.     Show all of Sacar and Koby's 18 missed shots, show every IU hoop, show every dumb foul that Wojo talked about.     That is what twitter should be used for.

Lenny, you and I were both here when a former poster lost his (mind) over the fact that Michael Beasley had gone for 40 in a scrimmage and that it would cost MU a seed line come March.    MU scrimmaged a Big 10 team and ultimately won.    It doesn't mean MU won a championship.    But being positive and finding good is a lot more fun than grousing.

Which is why people getting excited about recruiting highlight videos are the biggest joke of all as these guys dominate rec ball players.

Who said not to discuss the scrimmage? I'd just prefer an honest discussion to excitement over a highlight reel.

And BTW, shoes dropping and newspaper articles are Chico's thing, not mine.

I remember, Tower, and it was overboard silly. Look, I'm not trying to be a negative Nancy. It's a practice game. But let's at least be honest. IU is projected to be a bubble team. They played without BOTH of their starting guards. That's a huge hurdle for any team to overcome. The good news is that a) we won and b) with decent shooting we would have won easily. The bad news is we shouldn't have struggled against a team of that caliber playing so short handed. I'm not overly concerned but I can't feign excitement over our effort. My guess is Wojo can't either.

Both Bailey and Elliot’s jumpers looked way smoother. Bailey is floating way less which is great to see. Also, got through a scrimmage against Joey Brunk without someone getting injured.

I actually commented on it earlier. To me 8 is not enough, but I assume if the game counted he would have taken more. Do you mean few to's by the team (12, which is pretty good) or Markus (1, which is very good) At any rate, satisfied by all except Koby (2 assists, 4 to's).

Most interesting stat line of the night goes to Indiana freshman Armaan Franklin, who had 14/7. That's 14 points and 7 FOULS. And that's why I don't stress about secret scrimmage results. The coaches can repeat sequences, work on set plays, and let players keep playing until they get stuff right. It's not like a strict game environment.

A couple of things:  BB's form looks vastly improved. Combine that successfully with the rest of his skill set, and that's an upgrade.  That's my key if.

Next, we don't know the nature of Koby's turnovers.  If they were offensive fouls, that means he is forcing the action which was needed from last year.

Lastly, that's a lot of fouls on both sides. Great prep for Big East officials.

I'll take 4 turnovers from Koby anytime if Marquette wins the team turnover battle like it did in yesterday's scrimmage (16 to 12).

Now, if MU had lost by 16, I am sure that Lenny would have attached more weight to it.

If we had lost by 16 to a middling team playing without both of their starting guards I would be worried.
